    .308 Win Subsonic

Re: .308 Win Subsonic I think you might struggle with 208gr Amax, they are pretty long arent they? If i were you, i would try the 220gr Sierra Pro Hunter. It is as short as possible with that weight (RNSP). I shoot it in my .30-06 1-10" and 20" barrel with great success! Allthough people said...

    DIY kydex cheak rest

Re: DIY kydex cheak rest it hardens very fast, just 10 sec and its hard. I used a hot air gun, and i put som thick papers between the kydex and my stock so i wouldnt heat it too much. Just make a mark on the middle of the plate so you know where to bend it. I just heated, bended and held it...

Rifle Scopes 300 blk (AAC blackou) Laser diode?

Re: 300 blk (AAC blackou) Laser diode? Im not sure, because you cut the brass and set it back abit. If you already have on, test it. Why would you need a laser to sight it in? Just make a solid rest, and look through the barrel, and you'll be pretty straight on. Im usually about 10cm away...

    Gunsmithing Who makes custom muzzlebrakes?

Re: Who makes custom muzzlebrakes? you can probably just ask any guy with a lathe to make it for you. I made this in about an hour, and its really effective... This took a little longer, and is not as pleasant to use, because it kicks up alot of dust.

Rifle Scopes Steel Base and Rings Needed for Aluminum Tube?

Re: Steel Base and Rings Needed for Aluminum Tube? Do you take it on and off alot? What kind of caliber? I prefer steel mounts, because the weight difference is minimal and they are stronger.

Rifle Scopes Protecting my scope from the rings...?

Re: Protecting my scope from the rings...? Lapping the rings will both make a more solid mount and protect your scope. How i did it: Lapped my TPS 34mm steel rings by making a bolt to the same diameter as my PM2 (33,8mm). Then i mounted the scope rings to my rail and tightened them good. I...

    Rifle Scopes Horus Vision Users

Re: Horus Vision Users Waking this to life. I was looking to buy a Leupold Mark 4 spotting scope, and the best reticle imo is the H32. But the price difference between the normal reticles, like MLR and mildot and Horus is 700 dollars! It 41% MORE than the exact same scope with another...

W-3 Chassis: Rem 700 *Updated with Folder info*

Re: WHISKEY-3 Chassis for the Remington 700 Also i wondered if the next generation will have platic covered front, both because scratches wont be as visible and the fact that aluminium transfers heat about 6 times more efficient than steel. That is getting pretty cold in the winter. It might...

    Rifle Scopes delete please

Re: TPS super-low rings: 700 w/50mm PST and EGW 20moa the interesting dimension is from bottom of the scope to top of the rail, like this: then you can measure the distance between your scope and barrel, and between the scope and rail (this might be limitin for some scopes, at least for...

Which bipod? Does it really matter?

Re: Which bipod? Does it really matter? The durability of the Harris is better than my Versa-Pod, but i like the versapod better. You can mount it higher up with a pin and it will not roll when you give it a slight push forwards. The harris will roll forwards on the range if you have the...

    Leupold QRW Rings

Re: Leupold QRW Rings I like them alot, both the design and the price. They have a tendency to rotate the scope when you tighten the screws the first time, and im 100% sure they will return to zero. As stated above, you have to push the scope forwards while tighening it to the rail, so it...

Boot's, What are you guys wearing?

Re: Boot's, What are you guys wearing? Lundhags Syncro High. Sweedish handmade boots, tough as hell, and gives a lot of support in rough terrain with heavy loads. No gore-tex, so they require some love to keep you dry, but will last for ages. or when its light terrain and no heavy backpack...
