Texas will be the richest state in the Union....

Jeebus, Jerry. That's some unreal property tax. I thought we got raped in California at 1.5% property tax.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Where to send 1911 for upgrades???

I know some folks who have sent their factory 1911s to Nighthawk. The turn around has been quick and you get a semi-custom for one-third of the price. Let them tighten the fit up a bit and recoat it. You'll be happy you did. I also second the recommendations to visit 1911forum and 1911addicts...

    Masterpiece Arms Barricade System?

I recently had the opportunity of using one an instructor had at a class. It was on an MPA chassis. It's very slick. It's an excellent design. If you can get one on a Manners, I say go for it.

    AI barrel swap POI repeatability.

I've seen a .1-.2 mil difference in switching on my AXMC. I think confirming your zero is a good idea, especially if shooting those little bastards at range. All my POI shifts have been vertical, no horizontal movement.

Rifle Scopes Help Me Choose a Magnified 1-4ish Optic

If you have all of them in front of you... usually the question is what to buy. Yours seems to be what to sell. Mount them, shoot them and see what you like the best

Toyota Gas pedal recall and Crash that sparked it.

Thought I'd add to this, as I knew Mark (the driver of the Prius). I worked with him in my last career. He wasn't a friend, I can't say I cared for him as a person but at work, he knew his stuff. He supervised the civilian technicians that CHP employeed to inspect buses, tow trucks, semi-trucks...

VECTRONIX IS BACK in the US!

I know his backstory. It's a joke, albeit significantly less humorous now.

AI or Custom? **Delivered. Update in OP**

I love my AXMC, and I loved my AWs. I say look into a used AW or AE, and invest the rest of the money into barrels, ammo, scope/mount and training. With an AW, barrel changes still only take 5-10 minutes and you can really stretch your dollar.

    New Gradous Masterpiece

This isn't a self-indulgent thread, this is what I, and many others come here for. Thanks for sharing!

My aiat in an mpa teaser pics

I think it looks it great. It may be the most expensive barreled action ever, but you have some pretty big balls to do that to your AT. I think you'll love it. I can't wait to see the completed pics and hear how you like it.

    Sell everything for AIAX MC?

My AXMC is usually off by 0.1 mills when I go from a magnum bolt to a short action bolt. Two rounds and I have my zero back.

    6mm bullet

I was going to ask the same thing as the OP, so I'll just piggyback on his question. What about bullets in the 105 class? Will a 105 Berger hybrid do the trick?

Everyone on the internet shoots past 2,000 yards. 1/2 moa. All. Day. Long.

    knight's armament firearm???

In his profile, the OP lists his occupation as "retarted", so maybe there's something else at play. I wish I could help (in both regards).

    Ordering a GAP-10?

You pay a deposit. There's a thread in the semi auto forum about wait times and such. Caliber, it's up to you and what you want. There's a 308 in the classifieds right now, and a 260. Both seem to be good deals with NO wait time.

    34mm ring question

Depends on the rifle, but a 50mm objective with covers should be fine in those high rings. You should be more concerned if they will give you a proper cheek weld.

Scope change and huge issue holding zero - opinions needed

Sounds like your scope may be mounted loosely in your rings, but I know you said you checked everything for tightness. Maybe go over everything with a torque wrench.

Picked up MSA Sordin, have questions

I shoot pistols and a braked 308 and 300 win mag with only my Sordin's on and I think they deliver good protection, but my hearing isn't the greatest.

My new project: Weapons for Warriors

Today is the first I've seen of this but I think it's great. I'll continue to check back on the blog, as I don't have a Facebook account. Joe, if there's anything I can do to help, please let me know!
