    It is like waxing a car. Does not make it go faster but shows pride in what you do. I personally love the look of shinny brass for range use. My tumbler would take a week to make it look near that good. Thank you for sharing

    Don't scrap the Federal Brass. It may not be the best but it does work just fine. ederal I loaded a lot of great ammo with it before I found Lapua, which is better, but I still use my Federal stuff for field ammo

    Range Report 338 Lapua solids

    My use with solids is around 408 and 375 Chey Tacs. If barrel is set up for them they work great. If not good luck. Never ran them in 338 Lapua. I stick with 300 grain Scenars and they work very well for me

    My H895 load was pushing a 155 Scenar right at 2900 fps from 20" tube. I don't like compressed loads. I stick with the case being just full or 95%. That always gets best accuracy for me and that's the major goal. Speed for speed sake is useless

    No disadvantage at all. The Remington action will keep up with any if its trued. Your set up is very much like what I used for a few years before going to larger action single shot type.

    Brother for mag length I use H4895 or N540 for speed. The Varget is great for long loaded but in mag length try the H4895 or N540.     The 155 Scenar does not give up anything in BC to the Bergers no matter what published numbers are. Numbers are just that. Take them out and shoot the bullets side by side.
