    Re: Tikka T3 Scout CTR? I was shooting mine today. I cut the barrel to 16.1" and fitted my can. The longest steel I had available was 600/12" rounds, and I had no problems at all. Love the rifle.....it will be my primary hunting rifle this year.

    Re: Short barrel 308 guys. I went from a 26" TRG22 down to a 20" TRG22. I really wanted to develop a load for the 178gr BTHP to achieve good accuracy and be over 2600fps. At or above 2600 fps I have fair only accuracy and a sticky bolt. I dropped down about half a grain of Varget to 44.3 grs...

    Is there a downside to loading long?

    Guys, I'm shooting a TRG22. One thing a bit different with a TRG is that the mag is LONG front to back, like 3". So, I can load my 308 reload out long. Right now I'm playing with Hornady 178 BTHP's( which is a long bullet) and the OAL of that round, if I want to touch the lands is 2.952". So...

    Re: How to make trg-22 lighter? My TRG's both wear NF 3.5-15's. A quick looks shows I could drop 10ozs(!) just by switching to the Vortex 5-15. Now I like my NF's better, but if you want to make your rifle easier to handle, take a look at your optics before you worry about fluting bolt...
