    I've got both. I can't put my finger on why exactly, but I do prefer the 10x.....it is just a bit easier to get behind. Either is without a doubt, a BEST BUY. Especially with the current sale going on.....

    This looks like not only a great hunting scope....but a GREAT all around scope. One thing that personally I would have loved to seen included would have been an illuminated reticle. Was this ever in the thought process for the specifications? Any chance of there being an illuminated version?

    Snipe, First, whatever you do, ditch the rail that comes on the gun( even though it is a bitch to take off, I know of, and have heard of quite a few more, of instances of the factory rail shooting loose). I have 2 TRG's, and have NEAR incline rails on both....thousands of rounds down...

    Sako TRG-22 .260/.308 switch barrel, thoughts

    I don't have a switch barrel set up, but I do have 2 TRG22's, on in 308, and one in 260. I usually love whichever one I just finished shooting, the most. Regarding magazines, I use the same mags with both rifles, and they work great.

    To the OP, If you are going to concentrate on loading .308( good idea) google the WFT trimmer....works great. Its a single cartridge type trimmer, but man is it fast. I primarily load 3 cartridges, and now have WFT's for all 3.

    I've got a couple of rimfire trainers....its really hard to be a SWFA SS mil/mil. I've got a 10x and a 12x....love them both. The 10x is on a CZ 455 trainer in the manners stock.....timney trigger, atlas bipod, etc.....and I don't feel like the scope is holding me back at all......I shoot small...

    Lightweight Hunting Rifle Under 800.00

    For a friend, I went through the same decision.....and settled on a T3 in 6.5 swede. He liked it because there was no more recoil than a .243, and a lot less blast. The thing is a tack driver, and everything he shoots drops in a pile.

    The mod that lets me take the bolt out easily is the addition of the KRG folding buttstock.....well worth every penny!

    The NightForce F1 will bust your weight limit by an ounce or so, but really performs in the field. Bullet proof tough, FFP, Mil/Mil, Illuminated, ZeroStop....whats not to love?

    I've had great success with the 190 gr Nosler BTHP( relatively inexpensive bulk price) over 10.5 grs of Trailboss. Runs 1040 fps out of my 16.5" 308. Very accurate.

    I've been very pleased with CC's loaded in .223, .260, and .308. Good stuff, at reasonable prices....I'll order more....
