Anybody else drank the Crossfit Koolaid?

The popping in my hip was totally my fault. I'll have to take the blame for that one. It was nothing that was prescribed in class it was some dumbassery on my part. I have a pretty good history on the weight lifting and my form is solid on everything except maybe the snatch. I'll have to admit...

Anybody else drank the Crossfit Koolaid?

Yeah I do the box jumps just fine. I usually use the 20"box. I do suck at double unders. I'm fairly athletic for a big guy. I just need to trim off the extra weight. The ruck marching does indeed peel the weight off I have used it before when I was packing around a few extra pounds. I'm...

Anybody else drank the Crossfit Koolaid?

I agree about the yogurt and the not pushing yourself to the point of injury, which I did this morning. I was stretching and popped something in my hip. It isn't real bad but I defenitley pulled or tore something a little. I'm just trying to cut out processed food and starches. No bread...

Anybody else drank the Crossfit Koolaid?

I agree 100% that diet is 80% I just kind of use the paleo thing like you say as a guide. It is simply effective for what I want to do because of the low carb aspects of it. I am also portioning my meals ahead of time. Kitchen looks like a damn tupperware factory

Anybody else drank the Crossfit Koolaid?

I just started crossfit. I have been interested in it for a while and even tried to do some crossfit like workouts at the local gym. I live in a reasonably rural part of Ky and there just wasn't a crossfit box available until recently. I came across this one by accident, and it is about a 30...

New ELR rifle build. 338 IMP 37 shoulder. Throat for 285 AMAX?

I'm in the middle of a build and we are getting the reamer ordered from Dave Kiff. We are going to run a 37 degree shoulder, and add the bore rider throat from the rogue. It is being designed as primarily a long range hunting rifle. It will see plenty of range time as well though. Has anyone...

I'm building a 338 lapua improved and had planned to use the seekins 3.990 DBM but I can not find them in stock anywhere. Does anybody have any info on where some of these can be found. Hunting & Fishing Odds of drawing mule deer tag in WY?

If I'm right i think you need about 2 preference points to be sure to get drawn for mule deer. I just booked an elk hunt for 2014 in wyoming and i had to buy a preference point this year. The deadline for buying a point was 30 sept. The outfitter said 1 point will get you a tag for elk. They...

Sidearms & Scatterguns I was considering a Sig P220.. but now I'm not so sure.

I run a p220 and really like them. You can argue what is best all day but for me I like the 220. I'm not a 1911 guy because they are just that 1911 technology. They are nice for range or competition and such but not a carry gun for me. I like the p220 so well I go the wife a p239. All the...

Is it me, or the rifle?

Find the powder charge that works best I shoot 44.0gr of varget as well whether its 168 or 175 then adjust seating depth. Which honestly I usually just run at 2.800 regardless. That is the difference, you will find with a factory rig vs a custom barreled rifle. It takes a lot more...

    Headsets

I'm in with the OP. I don't own any com gear, but I would like some two way radios with Mic, or throat mic capability. I don't even know where to begin to look. What can be had with a budget of say $1000 and where would you look to pick up such gear

Hunting & Fishing Clean slate elk rifle build

300wm gets my vote. I'm getting one built for an elk hunt next year myself. Broughton 5c 26" rem varmint, stiller tac300, manners mcs-t, ptg bottom metal. If your buddy shoots a 300wm then that certainly the way to go. Very flexible round you can go from 110gr bullet to 240gr bullet...

    .300 Win. Mag

Russell at SSC is building me a new 300 on a stiller tac300 right now. Broughton 5c and a manners. He built me a 308 identical to it but with 20" barrel, it's ab absolute tack driver. He also has my 20" 300wm in his shop, I'm gonna get a new stock put on it. 300wm is an awesome round

    5R and 308Shooters. SMK's or A Max? 168,175,178?

I just bought 1k of the 178's for my 308 and 1k of the 208 for my 300wm. I got 750 or so 175smk's left they, all shoot good but i have had better results with the 178amax. Plus it's ability to transition to a hunting bullet as well is a big seller for me. Only one load to worry about and only...
