    first time issue

    Measure the headspace from one of your once fired pieces of brass with a stoney point tool or hornady headspace guage. Then set your die up to bump the shoulder back 2 thousandths. This may vary from brass brand and lot so check it often. I learned this lesson the hard way.

    Holy cow!!!

    I used to own the same barrel in 20". That cartridge can be very picky about powder charge as well. I had great results with imr 8208xbr 123 amax and lapua brass. If my memory serves me right I loaded 28.3 with a coal of 2.255. That combo would bughole every time for me at 100.

    Not sure on the headspace guage but .287-.290 neck bushings should suit you for the life of the brass.

    6.5 Grendel Reload with 123gr A-Max, what powder to use

    +1 for 8208. My sweet spot was 28.3 gr with a coal of 2.255 coal with the 123 amax in lapua brass.
