    Why is it better to have a "flat shooting" round?

    Ranging errors and come up solution errors have less effect on a flatter round. If all you ever do is shoot at known distances on a known range, no big deal. If you shoot in the real world at actual soft and hard targets in unknown environments, then flatter is better.

    I use a vibratory with corncob and I place a tablespoon of liquid car wax in with every batch. My media is old but it keeps on working. I clean before and after sizing.

    Have had the Spuhrs for a while. They're superior. They've already been slightly modified to work with an out of spec SSG rail.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I'm using the Spuhr stand alone rings and they require 3 slots in a row to accommodate 2 screws and a recoil lug each. I'm going to remove the recoil lug between the screws on the rings as the AE base has locations at either end that has 2 slots with a solid spot...

    Soooo, will the Spuhr AI specific mount not fit the AE MkIII? Will the Spuhr AI mount only fit the AW and AX because they are somehow different than the AE MkIII rail other than the gap/blank spacing for the screw heads?

    I have the separate rings from Spuhr. No worky. "More money" means I need to buy the Spuhr unitized mount that is meant for AI. $400+ more clams.

    Love my Spuhr rings and was very excited to mount them on my new AE but was disappointed to find that it's a no go. The factory AI rail isn't true mil spec and the filled gaps in the rail won't allow the finest rings on the planet to mate. The answer is always more money.
