    The LMT rifles are very reliable (they get a little extra gas to keep thing moving) and should cycle anything.

    A 20 lbs rifle will have less recoil than a 13 lbs one. But there are other ways to tame recoil such as a muzzle brake or going to a totally different caliber like 6.5 CM.

    This. The APC9 has that fine Swiss engineering. Everything is so smooth operating. And the stock trigger is actually very nice, short travel and fairly light. The only upgrade was swapping out one of the safety selector springs. I highly recommend B&T firearms

    Honestly, if you are only shooting inside of 300 yards a nice .223 or 5.56 build will be more than adequate. Everyone needs an AR in .223/5.56!

    I swapped the stock base for the Area 419 base. It fit like a glove. Everyone seems to be happy with the Mountain Tactical base, also.

    How about just buying a complete JP rifle in the caliber of your choosing? Piecing together a large frame semi from individual parts is not as straight forward as piecing together a standard AR from what I hear. Not all large frame components are plug and play with other manufacturer's...

    Suppressors Surefire SB2 or RC2

    Any more suppressors you buy between now and up to a few months before your RC2 gets approved, will likely get approved at the same time. I bought 3 suppressors and an SBR (each of them months apart) and all 4 were approved at the same time. It was like Christmas Day!!

    For your first custom gun, it is not a bad idea to order a barreled action with trigger installed from a reputable place like Altus. Throw it in a chassis of your choosing and it will serve you well.

    I ran my Ruckus for 4 days straight, all day, in dusty Yakima, WA. If performed great! No issues.

    Any of the big names will serve you well. I have not had the best experience with Inforce, however.
