Nice rifle. If I can find a used 6.5 CM in the t3x or CTR, I will have to buy it. I already have a t3x varmint 223 in xray and it is a fantastic gun. 4 inch steel at 300 is boring. 10/10 hits rapid fire. I went to 500 and what a humbling experience. Need more time at 500 to figure things out...

Firearms WTB: Tikka T3X Varmint .223

Keep an eye out on eurooptics. Last year they had a few for $670 that were display models. My friend got one and it is super nice. Couldn't tell it was a display. Great rifles. I have one in an Xray. Good luck finding one.

    Tikka T1X

How do you determine how deep to go? I never know if I'm past the ring or haven't reached it. I usually guess based on the 22 case length

from reading the solid accuracy site, they are getting the blanks and doing the rest. Still would like confirmation on the quality of work they do before dropping $500. I know what leaves criterion is probably excellent. They have a good reputation.

Has anyone bought a criterion prefit from solid accuracy? Seems like they are the only ones that you can get a tikka criterion from.

CZ 452 Scout - Difficult to close bolt

Best way to measure is get a depth gauge. You can find them on ebay. Here are the directions from Lilja. It's not that complicated. https://riflebarrels.com/shop/drop-in-barrels/cz-455/22-rf/cz-455-precision-barrel/

What distance is that? RPR are seen as having poor accuracy out of the box, glad you have a decent one. While I have a big $ gun, I like to see less expensive guns shoot above their weight.

    Optic Mount Elevation

Depending on the internal elevation, you should be ok with 20MOA.

    Barrel polishing

First time I have heard of anyone talking about bore tech being bad. What eats away at the steel is ammonia hydroxide. Pretty sure bore tech products don't have ammonium hydroxide in them. Hoppes has ammonium hydroxide. Thought so does Ballistol, but I haven't found the reference for it.

    Cleaning Question

.20 for rod, 22 for brush and jag. 22 rod would not be a good idea as it might be too tight.

    Should I switch scopes?

Do you shoot mostly from the bench at the same distance? I looked at sightrons, the glass is great but they are behind on other things like zero stops, etc. They have started a line with zero stops in the last couple of years, their reticles are not in pace with what others are developing...

    Ruger rpr rimfire bore guide?

you guys are mean...but its funny. I wonder when people buy the RPR, if they ever do any research before. I saw a proud papa in the gun shop picking up the RPR for his boys, I had to bite my tongue...they were so happy to get it too.

What size plates at 300 yards

You can really see the ammo factor when shooting at distance. I could see some that were falling a few feet short. Some were going a foot or two high at 300.

What size plates at 300 yards

I was at the 300 yard range last week and after a few attempts, I got dialed in and was hitting the biggest target pretty consistently. I will need to measure it, but my guess would be 7" plate. There is a 4" plate that I can't miss with my 223, with the 22 I couldn't hit it to save my life.
