    Load workup & primer selection

You have to be doing primer tests when you're looking for the node window. What's the point of doing a primer test AFTER you do a charge test with another component? That's the equivalent of doing a charge weight test with H4350 then switching to IMR 4451 or IMR 4350 expecting it could...

    300 WM bullets and powder

I'd go for 7828 SSC or H4831 with a 208 amax . If youre gonna stick to the 215, go 7828 SSC or H-1000 but use a magnum primer.

    ocw test

Didn't mean offense; im actually glad you brought it up as it's lacking in many threads for load development. Questioning the shooter is almost non existent. and that was part of the point of this discussion and why I left out almost all information. We see see a lot of threads that say, this...

    How primer pocket tightening works

Decided to bring this topic back up since I've gotten PM's about it from mentioning it before. Primer pocket tightening tool. Some hate it, Some love it. I happen to love it. I got the nub(S) made from Henry remple. Well known Canadian machinist and fellow shooter. (More info here...

    ocw test

OzTRG, good to do but I think you should reduce your jump variations. I don't like to cover a huge window in jump distances because: -you can put yourself out of your node because of the pressure differences generated -you generally don't want to seat too deep into the case. No need to and you...

    ocw test

Good points brought up so far. -Orkan brought up a point about NPA and shooter error. Let's address this. In a lot of the ocw's we see, we don't know the shooter's ability to shoot well enough. A true "ocw" should have shooter error completely taken out. On that, I am a left handed shooter and...

    Pre soak before SS tumble???

Steve, stop overhinking this. just use more of what you currently have. If you can buy Lemishine, get it. Understand all Lemishine does is SHINE THE CASES. It doesn't clean it additionally. Stainless steel pins, a degreasing detergent (liquid soap) and agitation is what's going to clean cases.

Anealing vs. neck tension vs. SD

Annealing and neck tension alone shouldn't account for an SD of 50 there's other issues at play.

Change in 6.5 140 ELD Match bullets

Then you seat to mag length and re do load development, but you can now just moving fine or increments and micro tune since you already know your window Should be easier since you only need to do find tune charge weight since you're already going to be jumping more than 20 thou doesn't...

Change in 6.5 140 ELD Match bullets

What does BC have to do with a different cartridge base to ogive reading? different box and lot means you need to find the jump distance and adjust your seating die accordingly . you don't have to re do load development. Just keep the jump the same. If you had your old lot jumping 20...

    Virgin Brass VS Fireformed brass

You can start load development with virgin cases. You should be able to find your node. Just fine tune after firing cases

    Pre soak before SS tumble???

Go ahead and squirt a good amount. Try a shot glass full of dish soap and half a shot glass of Lemishine if you have it

    Pre soak before SS tumble???

Don't get too liberal on the wax; you want the cases to grip the chamber...you don't want it super slick.
