Honestly I felt the heavier bullets kept the rounds laying flat in mag, and the COL had less a jump to get to the feed ramp, but had a 6BR that fed pretty well on a Stiller w/700 parts also. That 6BR fed the heavier bullets better. I think 105s tend to feed better than say 70s, as they did not...

My TC was in a TCU at 21" in 12 twist, did ok w/85 SGK, but not ideal. Only use an 8 twist since then in 6BRs, and would use that in any 6. Shot 66s into 1/4" at 200 yds for 3 shots over and over, in a BR, no worry about over spin, but you can under spin. An 8 would be best, a 9 ok, but may...

You can download, recoil light. Personally, sounds like you need a 6.5BR. Had a 7BR shot 120s at 2878 in a 21"

    7mm-08 vs .260

If we reviewed a sampling of 100 or 1000 elk kills, half with 243 and half with 260, both firing similar BC/SD bullets of same construction, same range, etc. do you think there would be zero difference? No doubt there is some impressive videos out there on LR killing, but sometimes I wonder...

    7mm-08 vs .260

As good as the 260/130 Berger is on game, I do wonder how close a 140 Berger/7-08 is...... Much higher speed is possible using that 140.....I think it deserves running #s

Range Report Nosler 6mm 70 gr BT bullet in a .243 for 'yotes?

70 TNT is hell on varmints, Varget good choice, H380, 4350 alright but faster powders do tad better. 3500+, even in a 20" as I recall, took a few deer with them fwiw w/head/neck and lung shots.

Drew, any chance you tried lighter Bergers? Wondered how they might compare at higher mv.

    6.5x47 - if building a 700, is a bushed firing pin essential?

Seems I had a 700 long ago in a 6BR, do not believe it was bushed, primers cratered but no problems. Curious if its necessary for a small primer round?

    6x45

Had a TCU in a 21 Carbine, I would NOT do another, the 45 will do most all it can do in that size case IMHO. Looks cool, just no reason for me to form brass. Good round, but if no limited on any caliber - I would opt a 223 8 twist. Just me, do like the 6, mostly in the BR or XC/47 - only...

Did you shoot the factory barrel by chance? Sporter rifles are much more pleasant to carry in many hunting situations.
