Just had to brag on these rifles. I really cannot say enough good things about these Tikka rifles. I am a Remington guy and likely always will be but these T3s are impressive. This is one I just finished up. T3 stainless, stock trigger at 2lb, 22" Bartlien sporter barrel in .243 , Mountain Tactical Hunter laminate stock, larger bolt knob, DNZ mount, Nikon Prostaff5 glass. Shoots lights out(honest 3/4 MOA with factory Hornady ammo) can't wait to hit the woods with it!

Yeah, I'm excited because it exceeded my expectations. In a lightweight hunting rifle shooting factory hunting loads I consider 3/4 MOA great. Someone who is a better marksman than I could probably do better but I'm happy. I have rifles that shoot better groups but they are much heavier and I reload for them.

1:10 twist. Shooting the Superformance 95grn ammo.

I purchased this action off of another forum so I did not have any experience with the factory barrel.

I have another tikka T3 lite in 300wm that shoots excellent with the factory barrel but it doesn't get shot much because it kicks like a three legged ninja.

Got a Tikka T3 Varmint in 223 w/ an 8 twist. Amazing for a factory production rifle. Have shot everything from 45g to 80g bullets and haven't found anything it doesn't like. Wish Remington would show the same attention to detail.

Downhill,You hit the nail on the head with this comment. why wouldnt any of the big names take to the twist utilized by the target shooting guys.. if a man could by a factory rifle (223)1-7 or 1-8 and a (243) in 1-8 then we(target shooters and hunters alike would in some cases not have to trash the factory barrels to change to correct twist. Its ridiculous....Glad to see Tikka has it figured out! The more i see about these Tikkas the more i want one. Nice rifle OP

Pound for pound the best rifle being made right now. Dont own but a buddy has two ive shot alot and they are amazing. I will have one in a 25-06 very soon. So are all the .223s in 10 twist now or are they making it in two twist rates. Savage does it on some stuff i better get one before they start messing with a good thing. These guns will probably be worth some money someday once the bean counters try to improve on them.
