Suppressors Is this normal for a Suppressor?

This is exactly what I was told on the phone by Silencerco. And it is also what my gunsmith told me. My gunsmith said that the internals / bore of the suppressor have a runout of 0.005 in relation to the center of the barrel that it is attached to. when the suppressor was spinning in the...

Suppressors Is this normal for a Suppressor?

Here is the response I got from Silencerco: Silencerco My name is XXXXXXXX. I just spoke with XXXXX from customer service (I think that was his name) regarding an issue I am having with a brand new Specwar 7.62 suppressor, serial number XXXXXXXX. I had my gunsmith thread my barrel for the...

Suppressors Suppressor Newbie - when to stop shooting?

I just shot my new 30p-1 on my 300winmag and 6.5x47 yesterday. It is STUPID quiet on the 6.5x47. On the winmag…no ear plugs required anymore, way less recoil. First 5 shot groups with each gun about 1/4 inch at 100yds. almost no change in POI with the can on vs off. I was surprised however...

Suppressors Is this normal for a Suppressor?

I just got off the phone with Silencerco. They said that what I am describing is not out of the ordinary, and that it happens sometimes based on how they assemble the suppressors. They said that the bore of the suppressor is straight, baffles are inline, etc…and that on occasion it just...

Suppressors Is this normal for a Suppressor?

Mother Fucker! Im going to call Silencerco here in a few minutes to see what they say. How do I go about mailing this back to them? Do I have to ship it from a dealer and fill out a form 1? These are my first cans and I was praying that something like this wouldn't happen.

Suppressors Is this normal for a Suppressor?

Here are a few pictures. When on the lathe, the bore of the Specwar was 5 thousandths or better on runout, with the can on the host barrel, with the dial pin right on the muzzle of the Specwar. My gunsmith believes that the bore of the can is fine, and aligned properly with the barrel. His...

Suppressors Is this normal for a Suppressor?

I took my rifles to get their barrels threaded yesterday. My buddy/gunsmith put the first barrel in the lathe, cut the threads, and then we screwed on my Thunderbeast 30p-1 to check run out….which was less than 5 thousandths…bore of the suppressor running dead nuts in the center on the...

So I'm confused. What exactly does this thing do? Just light up the target? Or flash when the target gets hit? Please clarify

In need of new set of binos

The Meoptas are really sweet. Not sure why they aren't more popular. I had been using a set of Leupold Mark4 10x50s for the past few years, but they were a little big for my needs. I switched to the Meopta 8x42s and couldn't be happier.

Maggie’s What Products have delighted you

The Mothers Power Cone polishing attachment for my drill. Dam why didn't I buy this thing sooner. It easily shaved 2hrs off the time it takes me to polish the chrome wheels and trim on my truck. Absolutely awesome and easy to use. Mothers® PowerCone®

Suppressors Which would make the least noise suppressd?

I don't know what the regulations are like down where you plan to hunt, but here in PA no shots can be taken within 100yds of a roadway or house. So hunting within 75yds of your friends neighbors house may not even be legal. If you really need to though, and need to be quiet….ever consider a...

    Suppressors First supressor's Thoughts?

for a 22 suppressor I would definitely consider the Silencerco SS Sparrow. Super easy to take apart and clean. It looks classy. And its quiet as hell. Plus its not too big. I love mine. You can't go wrong with anything Thunderbeast. Their cans are awesome, and their CS is some of the best...

    Inguinal hernia laparoscopic surgery repair

That is not a little hernia bro. Thats a large piece of mesh. I never recommend getting inguinal hernias fixed laparoscopically. An open repair with a two layer mesh plug is a lot faster with quicker recovery time. Yeah, the laparoscopic gives you much smaller incisions, but insufflating...

    178 grain Amax 300WM

I haven't shot bullets that light out of my winmag. I have used the 208 Amax in it though…with R22. I think I was using 71.5g of R22 and getting around 2970 fps. using a 178….I think it would be screaming.

    H1000 vs IMR4831 powder

IMO, H1000 performed like shit for my winmag. I have a 26in Krieger on it, and used both the Berger 210 VLDs and 208 Amax. H1000 gave me the worst grouping and velocity compared to Reloader 22 and Hodgdon 4831SC. I still have a few lbs of H1000 sitting on the shelf collecting dust. Id rock...

break in the (reloading supplies) clouds

kiss any Reloader powders goodbye. You won't be seeing that for a very very long time. Apparently the POTUS had some influence getting a major cellulose supplier shut down, which Reloader depended on.
