    Thanks I have no doubt about the strength of the chassis. Just wondering about surface dings and scratches. Then again there's also the Cerakote protecting the surface. I'm sure it will be an awesome product. :cool:

    Is the magnesium material significantly softer than the anodized aluminum? Are you likely to see more scratches and dings during use?

    Oh I see what you mean. I read it on your FAQ too but the wording around "open position" confused me the first time reading it.

    From what I recall the adjustment for the lightweight cheek piece option for the EH1 (not the EH1A) is just a way to add on polymer spacers. The extra weight should only be a few ounces. Not sure whether they can customize it for you further. Would be interested if you make any interesting...

    Another option is to get a manners EH1 and ask them to fit on the adjustable cheek piece developed for the compact stock.

    Judging by all the threads in the forum, I'd say your primary consideration should be time. If I order A vs B, when am I actually going to get that rifle? You don't want to be thinking that you will be shooting steel all year, only to be waiting all year.
