Rifle Scopes Giving credit where credit is due

Another happy customer here. I had an issue with my gen 1 razor on day 1 (of a 2 day event) during my first competition (I was still a rookie to the sport). I managed to make it through day 1, then sent an email when I got back to the hotel that evening. Within a few hours someone had walked me...

    Compact shooting mats

+1 Another vote for the TAB mat. It's convenient and built to last. The lack of padding has never bothered me. I've never used the Triad mat, but if is like the rest you your products, then it would be a great choice also, just a bit larger profile when folded up.

PRS Talk Minimum required gear for a match?

+1 I attended my first match last year and definitely over packed. Only thing I would add is a Bipod (arguably included with the rifle) and Sling.

    The 1,000 Yard Rifle

1,000 yards is just the beginning... Once you hit 1,000, you're going to want to get to 1 mile.

spotting scope - angled vs. straight

Depends on the intended use and personal preference as stated. I prefer angled when I am shooting prone and using the spotting scope to read the wind. I prefer straight when I am sitting or standing while spotting for someone else (easier on your neck if adjusted properly).

Magpul poly AICS mags and 6 Dasher

The pmags are very smooth and reliable. Im not sure how they would be with the BR family, but I'm assuming they would be fine. They're bomb proof, too.

    Magnetospeed chronograph

V3 works great. Just need to take the time to set it up properly. I'm sure the Sporter is just as great, but I have not used it before.

    Shooting mats

I know - I bought it when I didn't know much else, but it's held up to quite a bit of abuse.

Range Report More BC is always better ?

This is very true. I guess I should have mentioned that it depends on the intended use.

Rifle Scopes Sneak Peek - GPO - German Precision Optics

I'd be interested in getting my hands on one of they have an FFP option.

No one talks about Field Firing Solutions.

If I could justify it, I would have a Trimble Nomad and FFS.

    Rifle Scopes Scope Mount Help

20 MOA will be fine, especially for a 308. Ring height will depend on you and your rifle - comfortable, objective lense clearance over front rail, cheek weld adjustment, etc. Either way, Nightforce rings are good quality, can't go wrong with them.

Rifle Scopes Is this a normal vortex experience??

Check your ocular lense and your eye relief for the clarity aspect. As far as the parallax goes, that's perfectly normal, don't get hung up on the numbers. The PST is a great scope (especially for the $$), and Vortex is a phenomenal company. If you can't fix it by adjusting a few things, then...

No one talks about Field Firing Solutions.

Exactly - $1,500 for FFS on a Trimble Nomad is a bit steep for the average Joe (especially compared to a $10 app on your phone).
