    Re: The AK-47 of 1911's You could buy a Norinco 1911. They have experience at building Kalashnikov rifles, too. If you want a reliable 1911 spend some money on some decent magazines. Mecgar and Wilson Combat are a coupe that come to mind.

    What do you hate most about shooting?

    Re: What do you hate most about shooting? I am a lazy bastard, so my biggest complaint about shooting is the packing up of the guns, ammo and accessories, driving there and setting it all up. Then, I have to repeat the process when I leave. That, to me, is the biggest gripe I have about shooting.

    Re: Painted Rifles! You are in luck. There is a thread titled - "precision rifles... show em", currently on page 3 of this bolt action forum. It has 68 pages of tactical rifle goodness with tons of pictures. Many of the rifles have paint jobs that even Michelangelo or Bob Ross would be proud of.

    Re: howa action vs rem 700 action I also need to have a barrel installed on a Howa long action. I already removed the barrel and will order a new one from Krieger soon. So if anyone has any suggestions as to whom can do the job, I am all ears.
