    Re: .223 Suggestions? My rifle is similar to what you're going for (700 SPS varmint in .223), and I ended up with a Vortex Viper scope (6.5-20x44). It's decent quality glass, and the warranty is as good as they get. Definitely worth a look.

    Re: Any Minnesota members get tornadoed They came pretty close to us (Mounds View, just south of Blaine), and several neighbors lost some big trees that blocked our road. Fortunately, we had no serious damage (a few tree limbs down) and there was no serious property damage in the neighborhood.

    Re: Picked up my first bolt rifle I picked up the same gun at Gander last week for my first long range gun. I shot it the first time two days ago, and it was a blast. The scope isn't as bad as I expected either.
