    338 Lapua Builder

    Re: 338 Lapua Builder I recently bought a Sako TRG 42 in .338 and love it. If you are not completly set on getting one built I would look into a TRG or like deisel said an AI AWSM.

    Re: TRG load development results What vith powder are you using? you need to get a chronograph to measure muzzle velocity. The 250 sierra will defiantly get you out to 1000 yards with ease.

    TRG load development results

    Re: TRG load development results Just went to the range and mv was right around 2804 fps. I fired 8 rounds starting with a clean cold bore and these were the numbers in order: 2807,  2777,  2789,  2801,  2801,  2824,  2807,  2807. Temperature: 99, humidity: 35%, pres: 29.92, alt: 175 ft.

    Re: Let's talk 7mm choices .... I would go with the 280 AI, mine shoots one hole groups with the 162 a-max and IMR 4831. Only downside might be the price of the nosler brass, but I have gotten 8-12 reloads with it.

    Re: Just bought a TRG and a few questions Thanks a million Yasherka sounds like you are going to have a great weekend. Just my 2 cents on something: Lapua could advertise that they have gold in their .338 brass and I would believe it with their prices, but from what I read it is worth it.
