    Id like to try and not go over $100 on rings. Do most of you guys lap them? And what do you put on after that? Some bluing to prevent rust?

    Hows it goin guys. I ordered my savage flcp-k in .308 today. Have done some research and i see people seem to be quite happy with the nikon monarch 3. I see the 5-20x44 and a 6-24x50. I was leanibg towards the 6-24 but wondered if it was necessary. The later is $120 more which isnt a big deal...

    Nice ! The FCP-SR is everything I'm looking for minus being available in left hand. If I was only ever going to shoot the gun off a bench or prone I'd probably get one. I've worked right handed guns my whole life. But I'd like to maybe take a go at some coyotes and maybe a few deer with this...

    Well i now see just how the mag is set up on the savage and im fine with it. I think im going to trust my gut and go with the savage i think itll be a nice rifle.
