    Thanks guys, I took it into my builder and decided to chamber it in .243 with a 24" heavy barrel. I have a new stock, so we'll drop it in that and call it good. Should be a good shooter, and pretty low cost.

    sniper 101 You've been watching rex at sniper 101. Very good stuff, I understand the excitement. Taking time to really focus on proper shooting technique even with a .22 will pay you back huge when you start stretching things out.

    You know it's deer season when...

    Wow!! I came to the right place. Thought I was the only one who had these observations during "deer season". A guy next to me emptied about 60 shells at $2.50 a shell to "sight in" his shotgun at 100 yards. I just shook my head.
