    Gunsmithing converting 30.06 into 300 win mag?

    I know its poosible to convert an 06 to a 308 but what about an 06 to a 300wm? the gun is a rem 700. could you just get a new barrel? what would need to be in order for this to work?

    left hand tactical 300 win mag

    can somebody tell me where I can buy a heavy barrled 300 win mag? I would like a remington but I'm not against other quality rifles.
