I learned that if you’re going to commit internet suicide, do it on the hide, because it’s just hours and hours of funny ass entertainment.
Y’all are some motivated sumbitches. I can’t keep up with all y’all’s motivation. I’m currently 26 pages behind on the motivational pic thread.
In 2019 I learned that I actually can shoot out to 1000 yards, and even hit what I’m aiming at. Thanks for all the help, tips and motivation you guys provide on this site.

What I've learned this year, and many preceding years, is that life never turns out the way you expected, or ever could expect. I can look back a year, and realize I never saw the great majority of it coming, happening the way it did, or my life going off in its current direction. At. All.
Now maybe I'm getting a modicum of wisdom (or not...), but things today sure seem better than yesterday.
Another key thing I'm learning is that drama is not a good lifestyle. It never was, for me and for most; but it just takes So Damned Long to figure that one out.
I learned that for every project I have that's nearing completion, several more suddenly spring up saying, "Me, me...!"
As life winds down its spool, it becomes most obvious that indulging all, or many of them is unrealistic. The Wife gets cranky when I suggest an expenditure, and in all honesty, she makes valid points. She made out fabulously this Christmas, and although I wonder when it's my turn, the answer, each day is, "No, not today". That's really not so terrible after all. because the day does come; and when it's unaccompanied by drama, it's just so much the better.
Money is a finite resource, but it's not the key one; time is. I say this nearing my mid-70's, but my thinking, and maybe yours too, would be shortsighted to chalk it all up to age. If you're going to manage your time, don't wait until it's as limited as mine surely is.
There's no huge looming menace yet, just a growing bunch of small ones that are taking up far too much of my time to keep tame. That's not a rare condition at my age, and you mostly all have this to look forward to as well. I'm not kicking my own butt, that would be like whipping a dead horse. But if this little summation can help some of you younger folks to get off the butt and out into the more fun part of the time stream while you still can get a grab of a good bunch of it; then I'm accomplishing something of value.

#1. Accuracy International uses key on their rifles not keymod. Do not confuse the two even though they look exactly the same to the guys that don’t own the rifle.

I learned that when you peel away the tough exterior layers of trolling, sarcasm, and abusiveness, there are some truly amazing and generous people on here. People who give generously to someone they've never met and never will meet for no other reason than that person needs a little help or deserves a little break.

I found out this AM that my last remaining Brother died Friday.
Unfortunately (fortunately?) we both saw it coming, and had a great nearing-the-end conversation over Thanksgiving Day.
He was 83. He died of Agent Orange induced Heart and Lung issues, FT McLellan. VA was forced not to do anything for him because the enabling legislation for A/O Poisoned Veterans of Ft McLennan has been sitting in committee in the Senate for going on a decade. God Damn Them.

He taught me to love shooting, and also (earlier) to dive into flying model aircraft with a passion. He flew at the AMA Nats every year including this past year, then told me Thanksgiving that he expected it to be his last. Talking about why led us to our longer talk.
I owe him a lot of how I got to be who I am today, him and Bill. Bill was a year older, and the two were inseparable until they went into the Army. They were both shooters and model aviation fans. I taught Bob how to shoot handguns, not that I was ever any great shakes at it myself.
We both had the same health issues; he was just out there breaking trail for me, ten years out.
He leaves three Sons, and a Grandson, as well as Judy, his former Wife, with whom he never lost touch or respect.
He is deeply missed, but I doubt anyone will mourn very deeply; he just wouldn't have it that way, and his passing was an inevitable thing for the past several years.

1.) 100% of the people on this site drink bourbon, scotch, or rye. (Nope, My drinks are Canadian and Ginger and Gin w/Tonic, also Rum and Coke)
2.) The average demographic is 35-60 year old Causcasian males. Averages are averages. My age make all of ya look like young whippersnappers; If I make it, I'll turn 75 this coming May.
3.) Virginia is the new Republic of China. Nope, China is comparatively free.
4.) Epstein didn't kill himself. Meh...
5.) Some folks here have wicked firearm budgets. Some folks have paltry ones, too...; so...?
6.) SH basically got Trump elected the first time around and will do so again. Miss, as good as a mile...
7.) PRS is allegedly for soyboys and snowflakes. IDK, Don't care, either.
8.) Manners group buy is a national holiday. Ditto the above.
9.) The fitness sub is the red headed step child of the forum. No opinion, I haven't run a step since back in 2004.

Curled up on my lap is my companion cat of 12 years. She is dying. The Vet set me up with some meds to keep her as healthy as possible while she ebbs, and comfortable. They give her three weeks. I've had cats for 70 years, this is not new. I have three more at the moment.
I've been thinking about what happens if they decide to tax or take our semis. I'll pay the tax on some, and hand over stripped frames for the rest. Law complied; as barely as possible. Fuck them. Incessantly. At least I'll have a bunch of spare parts...
Personally, I think most folks will ignore the G-Men and hide theirs. More power to them.
I may also do some face-to-face sales. No records. Perfectly legal in my state.

Mine did 3 yrs straight in Nam and is in not good shape these days. He retired from Uncles Sugar a good bit before my dumb ass could.
I reckon we all watch it play out similarly. He is retired and laughs about something, every day, to this day. What are the options?
