Looking at options for a new 22 scope, is the .04ish floating dot as hard to see as it looks? I haven't got to look through anything in person, just looking at pics on the internet.

I like it too, but from what I'm seeing I'd have to spend a little more to get a scope with that reticle.I like the big, fat floating cross on my athlon APLR.

I wish that reticle was in my Steiners, and they won't do a swap.Get a Burris XTR III with like a SCR2 Mil

LolI like the small dot like I have in my MR4 reticle. It’s great for shooting tiny groups during load testing and at small targets. That said, when I have to back off the power to find closer targets or spot shots I all but can’t find it. Sadly this scope doesn’t have daylight illumination. If it did that might make things easier.
I had a Cronus BTR with the APRS floating cross reticle and it was not quite as nice to shoot tiny groups with, but it is much easier to find the floating cross when on the clock. That and it has great daylight illumination if needed. I’m seriously thinking of getting another one.
I have 57 YO eyes and do wear glasses if that helps any.
Lol
Shooting great groups is easy with the APLR as far as I’m concerned.
