Being how the Hide Cup is coming up , it reminded me that I have a full year of shooting on my scope . As some might remember from the Gunsite ELR write-up , I had a problem around the 15 mil area in the elevation on the Cheytac. When I got back home I stopped by US Optics and talked to Arnold about it . We bench tested it and everything seemed ok with the damn thing .
Arnold had a suggestion . Leave him the scope , and he would spec out a new ER25 ( SN3 to us old guys ) .
4 weeks later , the new unit was in my had and it was off to the Hide cup I went . I was the RO on D-3 , so that gave me a lot of time to shoot at all of the targets that were out past 1200 meters on the side of the mountain. It tracked perfect and had enough elevation get all the way out .
Since getting home from the match , the rifle went back to Gunsite for another ELR course . 2100 meters was shootable without any hold over's in the scope . It will allow straight holds to 2700 , then reticule holds after that . Might have to add a 30 min mount to try for 3700 some day .
The scope has been shot a little over 1k rounds now (1031 ) and has had the knobs spun every which way but loose . Praise is being sent to where it should go . Thanks guys !
Soon I hope to do a range report on the new 110 minute elevation scope .
