I posted a news article, they were out for replacement scheduled to be completed prior to the Super Bowl.

Beads and garbage and who knows what else (Boubon St and New Orleans are disgusting) kept taking them out of operation, so they were being replaced. Bad timing.

I read that after my last post. It is interesting info. However, with the holidays, New Years, looming, I am no genius, but it would have seemed prudent to have at least placed a few of the large concrete barriers at both ends of Bourbon for a few days. Yeah it is a PITA but cleaning up all the dead bodies and blood on the street is a PITA too. The NYC approach to using sanitation trucks is a good compromise. Piss poor leadership, leads to piss poor planning, and that leads to the usual cluster-fluk results. Just sayin. Call me armchair QB. On a good day, I detest being in large vulnerable crowds. In a few weeks, I have to be in Vegas for a week at Shot Show. You can bet my SA condition went up a notch. If some nimrod attacks the Rose Parade this morning, I might cancel my trip.

Friend of my son, who is a core member in our shooting group just got one of those. I haven’t fired it yet, but he absolutely loves it. Pretty cool piece of kit.

I wanted to go to Cafe du Mond and eat the beignets for 25 years before I made it down there about 3 years ago.

Most disappointing (highly anticipated) food experience I've ever had. They sucked. I ordered a big box of them and a half dozen of their specialty chickory coffee for my crew.
