138 A-Tip Base to Ogive Length

Post is exactly as it sounds, does anyone have the base to ogive length for the new Hornady 138 A-Tips? Trying to figure out if I want a .150 freebore or a .180.

I emailed Hornady support and they were not willing to provide that information, although they did let me know the overall length (1.475") and boat tail length (0.195").

No I don’t have one here to measure.

I was leaning towards the .180 anyway, I normally start at 0.050" or so out, but wanted to make sure it wasn't going to cause mag length issues.

I’m a long way from anything to measure (physically. It’s at home. I’m not). But .180 is the standard and longer isn’t unreasonable depending on your jump tolerance.

I've chambered 25x47 and 25 GT both with the .180 FB alpha reamers and they are perfect for the 138 A-Tip. Those reamers also work great for any of the other 130+ grain .25 caliber bullets.
