Is this your 6.5 x47?
what bullet? Did it tear up the hide on this cat?

123gr scenar, ruined it. I really dunno how i hit him. He was 70ish yards away and my elevation knob was on 1 Mil which i couldn't see. Beyond me. It exploded though. Friend of mine made his first medium range kill or beyond 200yds today. Dropped a doe DRT at 408yds. Spined her though bullet exploded. I've not really had great results with the scenar granted i also haven't done my part as of late so that's kind of 50/50. Idk what it is i've been printing good groups but my nerves have gotten the better of me on almost every deer i've taken except the 120.5" 8-point. Dad on the other hand made a decent shot on an 8-point and it didn't perform well. It was at 2600fps. The one today was 2789 with alliant 2000mr. I'm moving to the ELD M though, seen some great results with it lately. Also put a perfect shoulder shot on a small buck (thought it was a doe) with the SAUM today with the 140gr Berger Elite Hunter. No pass through he didn't go far but i was surprised.

Since the Scenar's change in speed it seems to be more forgiving though spined DRT yesterday and headshot today at 109yds, dunno if that's indicative of anything.

Thanks, with the 20” 6,5cm compared to it’s older brother 300 Norma. What’s great also, is that I can use my llightweight series one tripod and head with the SA. Totally stable for sitting or prone.

AXMC as pictured w/o tripod = 20# (19 ish w/o elite iron bipod)
AX (aka “Hatchet”) w/o tripod = 14#

Looks beautiful, what’s the specs?

Tikka T3 .308 chopped 17.5' with a 3-12 LRHS. 2700fps with OSA factory 165gr. 11.7 lbs as pictured above. I can get it down to 10.3lbs if I drop it in my Manners T3, lose the bipod, brake, pic-rail and replace the Seekins rings with Talley lightweights. Makes for a very handy hunting setup. For range play the Manners T5 wins out

Pictured here on said diet:

to those of you shooting 6.5CM, what bullet weight are you shooting? I just got word my barrel is shipping soon, which means ill have it for deer season. I have a couple boxes of 143gr ELD-X precision hunter, but im wondering how the performance is out of a 16"-17", or if i'd be better off with something in the 120-130gr range.
