Nice build. How much does this weigh as shown ?Barrel is an 18” Rock Creek blank done up by PVA. Had this Bighorn TL3 for about 5 years now. It’s sat in a few stock/chassis, worn a few scopes, and shot a couple barrels by now. Moved to Texas a year ago and got my first whitetail with it. In couple weeks I hope to have a Colorado Mulie buck and Cow elk added to the list for this particular barrel. Currently have tuned Sierra 130 TGK Gamechangers to reliably give me just over 1/4” groups going 2720FPS with very low ES/SD. All in all my circle of people and I are on the shorty band wagon!
It is 12.8 poundsNice build. How much does this weigh as shown ?
How do you like that iray bolt?
Really love the 762ssRemington VSSF cut down to 16-1/2, Surefire legacy FA762SS, NXS 5.5-22X56 NPR2. LC 18 LR M118 still running close to 2500.

Yeah i got mine last year for some clone builds and really like it. Saw griffin just come out a new OTB can i wish it was still a more common designIt's an old one, still good. I use it in my M1A hunting rig.as well.
How does that barrel shoot? Considering ordering a 16” 308 myself
What is your velocity and how was the damage with the HH?View attachment 7992115
Put the 16” 6.5 PRC into UPR stock. Good results with 124gr Hammer Hunters
I’ll have to check my notes, but around 2,830.What is your velocity and how was the damage with the HH?
Did you loose much meat to bullet damage and blood shot. I was running 147 eldms in my prc but the damage was way too much. I have a load worked up for the HH’s but didn’t pull a tag this year to test them
What chassis is thatJust completed my build. This will be my primary hunting rifle.
Only weighs 8.1 lbs full dressed with scope, rails etc.

What chassis is that
I checked out the site but couldn’t find what material the chassis is, any insider info on that? Looks awesome and I do love me a folder…Pork Sword Chassis - Black Collar Arms

Idk why but I always see a mullet when I see a scope with little or no objective bell! Sick looking build though! Got my 18” 6 creed barrel ordered!Long time lurker in this thread… In fact, it’s what has inspired me to do my first Bolt Action build, and I’ve just finished test-fitting so I figured I’d post it up!
-Trued Remington R700 SA, standard bolt face
-Timney Elite Hunter Trigger
-Badger Ordnance Maximized Recoil lug (Req’d grinding to fit chassis, was ~0.120” too long)
-Faxon 16” 8.6 BLK Barrel
-MDT ACC XL chassis w/ folding stock
-Primary Arms 1-6x scope & rings
So… What’s the purpose of this “odd” rig? Because I’ve got factory bolt action rifles in cals ranging from 17 HMR to 338 Lapua, so… Why not?
If I like the round well enough, it will definitely be going in a lighter chassis. This thing is heavy! I suspect a pork sword or other minimalist chassis is in this barreled action’s future!

So you shot at your rifle?2 days of use with the XM3 and apparently trying my damnedest to see how durable it is. Chipped my can got a huge scratch on it, broke an aadland cap, and covered the gun in buckshot lol. But one less bean eater

I will be following. I was just looking at this exact rifle for the exact same purpose. I have an Ultra7 and an extra Razor HD LHT 1.5-8 that needs a home and it seems like a perfect setup for treestands.New blind/stand rifle. Bergara Wilderness Ridge SP 18" 308. Vortex Razor HD LHT 3-15x50 in Talley Modern Sporting Rings 30mm Medium on a Talley Picatinny rail and a TBAC Ultra 7 Gen2 CB. It comes in at 8lbs 9oz with the glass, TBAC CB brake and no ammo and 9lbs 1oz with the can.
I plan to run it as is for the rest of this season and see what I think. I am considering a different stock with a detachable AICS mag setup and possibly sending the bolt off for fluting. Hopefully the Vortex doesn't let me down.
I knew that was going to a good home and I was not let down!View attachment 8011063
I recognize that Manners GAT stock. It looks a little different now days
Thank you again my friend. It is greatly appreciated by the kiddos and myself. I think it fits the little .22 trainer perfectly. My five year old already claimed it as his rifleI knew that was going to a good home and I was not let down!
