I can't fathom why they went with AICS size mags. There is no benefit without a chassis that is r700 compatible. AICS sized mags are a handicap in 22LR platforms, not an advantage. 22LR has been feeding without issue out of curved mags for decades when they get it right. Rim lock and mag presentation issues are exacerbated with these larger, straight fed mags.

Have not had issues with my Rim-X mags. Can not speak on the Vudoo, have seen them rim lock. If the mags are of good quality, it will be a benefit IMHO. Small mags are harder change on the clock from what I have noticed.

Anschutz North America should have the skinny on that rifle
Nothing wrong with Anschutz magazines, and I run (RimX & Anschutz) both in identical chassis.

Only reasons I wouldn't want a AICS style mags is the size kinda limits stuffing multiple in each pants pocket (rolling light). There is something to said about 3 of these 10rnd'ers easily fitting in your front pants pocket. Why Remington ever quit these utterly baffles me. Cant be cost because they already invested in the tooling and the aftermarket ones are as good and cheap to buy and reliable as factory ones.🤔

Or the mag is esthetically degrading on a gun that's sole value is its esthetic appearance (your uber DDD African walnut ultra engraved gold inlay'd pretty bitch guns).

The AICS design actually is better (at least in stated theory) because the rounds feed straight into the breech versus bullets rubbing on feed ramps and/or chamber walls to various degrees of damage. And grabbing and yanking out AICS mags stuck under stress is easier than fiddling with smaller mag catch buttons and smaller body mags.
