I just picked up this K31, made in 1947 and refurbed in 1955, the bore is immaculate.
I'm a little bit in awe of this rifle, the craftsmanship is next level compared to what else was around at the time.

Lovely rifle, and a lovely collection! If you’ve not seen it, Swiss Rifles Dot Com has a wealth of information on them. There’s also a fair bit of info on a couple of FB pages if you’re that way inclined.

Happy shooting!

I think the trigger on this rifle comes very close to besting the trigger on my AI AX, just a little heavier on the second stage,

i wasn't joking when i threw out the AI quality trigger claim , bloody ripper of a trigger .
Glad we didn't miss out on these :sneaky:
lovely bunch there but will be better when the 98's come in

That’s a very nice K31, thanks for the pics. The Swiss and Swedes both made some really well crafted military rifles in the early to mid 20th century. I am of the opinion that those militaries must have really enforced the importance of weapon maintenance and overall care for the issued K31s and M96s, as their condition as surplus main battle rifles is often head and shoulders above pretty everything else.

(Btw, the stock on your No 4 Enfield second from top is really nice, and not generally seen with that kind off figure).

Congrats that looks like a clean specimin.

Edelweiss Arms is out of GP11 at the moment, but they are one of the better sources when restock comes in.

Shes mint, thats a nice rifle right there!
Seen quite a few lately in the big chain stores, but theyre rough - real rough... and $700...

Buddy was curious about getting one, pulled mine out of the safe to admire it. Havent shot it in god knows when, but lord, that trigger is so nice for a military rifle. That built in 2 stage ish trigger is just complete cream.

Wish some more GP11 would pop up, must keep holding breath I guess

Thanks mate, GP11 never made it to Australia so I don't have that option, but there is the PPU 174FMJ's and Sellier and Bellot also do a FMJ load for the 7.5x55.
I really do admire the build quality on these, makes me want another one!

Very handsome rifle! I have been fantasizing for quite some time about buying one of these, there's a shop about an hour down the road that supposedly carries a very good inventory of the Swiss straight pull rifles. Really need to pay them a visit
