Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

Mil/Leo only
COF to be distributed at briefing.
Team scenarios where time+hit value= score. So you cant miss fast enough to win.
Movement was involved in all but about 3 events last year.
Couple of competitors were in the over 55 yoa range and were competitive. Challenging, but it isn't going to kill you.
One course included use of carbine (no optic) and handgun, the rest was all long gun.
You will need dope from 0-600yds
Lunch was provided at the range all four days for like $20.
Hotel accomodations will be given in the packet.

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

Are Yankee’s invited Pat? You remember what happened last year at the awards banquet. Hats and all. They didn’t even drink the sweet tea. I think they asked for Mineral water. I hope to be there with Ray again If he doesn’t get put in timeout. Will be staying at the dogs and Beth’s house again.

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

No, sorry, no NAMBLA members are allowed this year.
Repercussions a consequences are still being addressed due to your participation last year!
Good job at Fort Benning! I am glad to see you finally convinced "young grasshopper" to start wearing Adult size clothing.

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

I plan to be there again, bringing two teams this year. Only missed one so far, injury and emergencies permitting we will see everyone there. Honestly one of the main focuses of our trip will be attempting to locate the miniature Elvis that tackled the drunk girl at the karaoke bar on Beale St. Maybe Red and I can get on the same page.

"Shoot the child molester" (Teamwork....Ahhh!)

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

HMMM no good can come from showing up at this match with this crew.

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

K Divers please stay in the swamp and teach Troy how to "shoot dem gators propper" so the old man will quit yelling "shoot Troy shooot".
Remember what happened the last time you left the swamp? Obama care was passed (yes this was your fault).
sperm shooter should be able to tell you verbatim what all was on the table his team took second place.
San Diego PD's international exhibition one legged stand trick shooting team won first as they did also the year prior.
Off the top of my head the first place team took home a pair of S&W MP15's, Mossberg breaching shotguns a butt load of cordura cases and gear not sure about much else.
Every competitor got a gear bag with over $100 worth of stuff in it at the banquet. Wiley X, Streamlight, Otis, Shirts, pins, coins etc....

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

Wow....I remember the Obamacare discussion at the range. I wish I could believe me staying home would have prevented it. I think most of you were trying to cast guilt on me to break my concentration, which obviously wasn't a problem, since I never seem to have it.

As far as swamp people goes......wow. I recently went to Missouri for a class. people there believed everyone here is either like swamp people or Billy the Exterminator. I live here...never seen anyone like Billy. I'm not in Shreveport though.

Landry is probably the sharpest one on swamp people!!

I can hear it now..."Shoot, Kevin Shoot!" in a few months. I'm gonna guess shooting proper would involve no zeroes also.....can't do it!

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

Time to get those registrations filled out and sent in.
The guy responsible for lining up the prizes and vendors leaves for SHOT show Monday and has a long list of Past supporters and Hopefully New supporters to visit in order to make this years NASC Prize table BIGGER and better than ever!
Even if you don't go to the prize table the "care package" and Southern Hospitality will be worth the trip!
We look forward to seeing you all again and learning even more.

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

Just put the stamp on ours Pat, Prizes? what the hell are prizes? I just come down there to spank ya. I'll bring the hot peanuts, you bring the jokes and we will both make fun of Berm-shooter.

That would be to easy......his wifes preg....he is living with in laws....he goes by the handle "sperm-shooter".....what could be funnier than any of that?
Be nice to Beth...hormones and all......piss her off and you might be racking with us.......

We should be staying in town this time so we will not have to make a 50 minute drive to where we will stay.
We look forward to seeing you bro!

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

If you DO NOT have a partner and want to compete call one of the persons listed as Contacts in the registration packet.
We have a couple of shooters that are holding out as they are looking for a partner.

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

I had to do that last year. I paired up with a Lieutenant from Eunice (Hell of a Shooter). Met on the Sunday before match and tied for 5th place with an experienced team. I won't be able to shoot with him this year though, we have a fourth man shooting for department now. Sure would've enjoyed shooting with him again.

Yes, and I assure you it will be absolutely, positively nothing like the MTOA comp you shot in Tupelo.
But then again you are the only person I know that could crap gold turds and complain about them being to hard!
Watch your 6 Critter Cracker!

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

I ain't skeered of Capt. Johnny......

Its just that I don't have a partner,
Probably don't have the ammo,
George probably won't be through with my rifle yet...
and Well, I'll just come by and have a beer and tell some lies

If he leaves some ammo in his bag this year it will just confirm all of our suspicions.......he is doing it because he really enjoys the body cavity search!

Re: 2011 North American Sniper Championship

January bump.

I talked with Capt. Cox.
He said that the course of fire has been worked out.
He said it will be "similar" to last years but he has made some changes.
He wants to keep it fresh and new so that returning teams don't see the exact same scenario again.
Training Director Sumner just got back from SHOT Show and has numerous vendors lined up to kick in items for the competitor's registration bags as well as the prize tables.
I am sure as happened last year some of the vendors will step up for some off the cuff fun shoots for prizes as well.
March is coming fast and we are looking forward to a good turnout and some great comraderie.
If you are on the fence about coming talk to some of the other SH members that attended last year or check out the Sniperworx article.
This is some good training, a good competition and most importantly a great time to network with other like minded individuals.

Stillbuster,
Just found this thread. I'm in Memphis & would be interested in helping out with the match in both a volunteer/"gopher" capacity & on the prize table. Please send me a PM with what you guys need & where the most help is needed.
Looks like a great event! Hope to have the opportunity to help out.
