2022 Black Friday Sale Thread

I read on AR forum that pissing in a barrel as breaking procedure makes semi auto more accurate than bolt guns and you can shoot .5 all day long as long as you do your part.

You also get 200 fps faster with no pressure signs.

Does bore size or barrel length matter??

On the gun, I mean. Otherwise I may be in trouble. Don't want to turn my 308 MWS into a M&P 15-22 sbr. 😪😪😪

Ah dude i owe like 300k for dental school. I just tell myself it all be okay. What’s a couple hundred here or there 🤣
That's a loan I'd take.

If I could go back and do it over, I'd be a dentist. Either a dentist or maybe a chiropractor. Once you get a little real world experience and open up your own office, you're golden.

I've never met a dentist that didn't have his financial affairs in order.

Bravo is a nice platform, but it comes bare. Anything you’d want to do is extra $, for sure.

There's certainly an argument to be made that if you are going to really dress up a Bravo, that money could be spent towards a more fit for purpose chassis'.

I have two Bravos and really like them for what they are. One is one the wife's rifle, with a spigot and ARCA rail, the other is for my hunting rifle, with only an ARCA rail as an accessory. For these purposes, they are perfect. If I wanted a KRG chassis for comps, I would look at the W3 Comp chassis.

Oddly enough I’m kinda trending out and trying to get into oral surgery residency. I hated the majority of dental school and the work. Other than extracting teeth. I still need to practice some restraint with financials tho

I thought about dentistry when I was young but took another path and got a CPA license. Best of both worlds as CFO of a large manufacturer of professional dental products. Went public and sold the company some years later. Twas a grand end to that little adventure.

Shit... you might not like it, but that's another issue altogether. I'm not in love with my career. It's lucrative, but not particularly fulfilling.

If you stuck with it, there's no doubt in my mind you'd find it relatively easy to retire at 50 and sail around the world.

The same can be said for an oral surgeon though, I'm sure.

Anyone ever ordered the barreled actions from ARC? Was looking for an 18-20" .308 but couldn't actually find what length(s) they had.

Because nobody makes offset mounts, or any milled slides for them. I have a RMRcc sitting in my safe I wanted to use as an 45⁰ offset of one of my AR's Because I'm stoopid and didn't realize the footprint is different than regular RMR. I thought the only difference was the window size, not the size of the whole thing. I like Trijicon optics, but they fucked up making different footprints of RMR and the RMRcc.
I just learned from your mistake, so thanks. I would have assumed same footprint as well and was getting ready to grab one for the same purpose.

@bohem

i know he has a bunch of nuc actions
Yeah i think i'm definitely going to grab one of those. A BA would be sweet but just don't need a 25" and where i'm at would have to ship it out to get it chopped and threaded. Not the end of the world if I go that route though of course. That's a great deal either way.

I just found Arisaka makes an AR offset mount. But that's it. May get it LOL.

The local dentists are being forced out by the big chains.

Cabelas has ammo cans for $10 again this year with free shipping. https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/cabelas-ammo-can

With inflation, low supply and high demand (at least until very recently) I'm seeing a lot of "Black Friday" prices that are basically what the normal price was last year. A lot of big box stores got crushed for sales in Q3, Target's sales in Q3 were down almost 50% from Q3 last year, I suspect Q4 is going to be even worse for most stores. Most of the "big" deals seem to be limited to memory cards/thumb drives, tv's, and small kitchen appliances. I've also seen a lot of rolling sales, where something might be super cheap for a day or two, then back to normal pricing. It seems like companies are trying harder to make you shop their websites etc. daily to catch deals.
