2022 Black Friday Sale Thread

Yeah i think i'm definitely going to grab one of those. A BA would be sweet but just don't need a 25" and where i'm at would have to ship it out to get it chopped and threaded. Not the end of the world if I go that route though of course. That's a great deal either way.
I'm sure if you made a note or spoke with them a barrel in the length you want won't be a issue.

Primary Arms business model is to always have SOMETHING on sale. Typically, several pages of sales. Instead of scrolling through, looking for something to buy; try a focused search on what you need- it is likely on "sale..."
Which is the JC Penny's business model, everything is always on sale which in reality means nothing usually is. In fact a few years ago JC Pennys tried just offering better (lower in many cases) prices but not "sale" prices that weren't really sales. They found out that people didn't pay attention to the price, just that it was on "sale" and went back to their old model of fake sale prices. Kohl's does basically the same thing.

If I really "needed" something I'd have already bought it. Black friday is more entertainment.

That Beretta/Sako sale is insane, if I owned a TRG M10 I'd be stocking up on caliber change kits and spare barrels at 50% off. Probably never see ITRS options for the TRG that cheap again.

Can't be as bad as Gallery Furniture. I don't know if I ever saw they didn't have a sale going on. I'm sure all of the Houstonians here will back that up.

Buddy Kamin in Victoria. "Semi-Annual Going Out of Business Sale".

Furniture Stores invented the rolling sale meme.

That said, some friends of ours beat the odds on Mac's "If the Astros win the World Series, you get the furniture for free" deal. But, Mac went beyond "you get it for free." They said that Gallery credited their card, and then wrote them a check. That worked out to a free sofa and a $3000 check. Not too bad. Add that to his free training in the trades program and ol' Mattress Mac is all good in my book.

You're on the nose with this, though PA's non-sale prices are generally below MSRP- and meet or beat most other on-line retailers' "everyday prices."

I generally have a mental list of "stuff I need, but don't need bad enough to pay retail." Black Friday is the time to cross those items off the list.

But yeah, if I needed it, I would have it and thus, no longer need to buy it.

Not gun specific but BatteryJunction has duracell AA and AAA's 60 for $21 I usually make a big order with them once a year on black friday for lithium AA/AAA, lithium coin cells etc. Especially with lithium coin cells you don't dare order from Ebay/Amazon because counterfeit coin cells are rampant on both. Mostly these days though I either use eneloops on around the house stuff and lithium on anything important that has to work. I used to always get Rayovac cells from Home Depot when they'd have 60 for like $7, but the last few years ago they started leaking even sitting in the original package.

That said their prices this year on Energizer lithium AA/AAA's are pretty high, even their doorbuster price is significantly higher than BJ Warehouse has on them everyday. They are $50 for 24 ($2.08 each), BJ's is 18 for $33 everyday ($1.83) In years past Battery Junction's black friday pricing on these was about $1.35 a battery. Still better than the $3 or more other big box stores sell them for.

As for AA/AAA energizer lithiums, I don't need any this year but bed bath beyond has the best deal, they have a 25% off coupon and 8 packs of AA/AAA are about $12 a pop, making the price per battery around $1.26 for a couple more days. I was able to put 40 of each AA/AAA into a cart with the coupon and free shipping at about $1.26 per battery. Actually with a 20 year shelf life I may just need to order some of those, it's a better price than the best deal last black friday.

I've had several retail business'. I've generally followed the Kohl's business model. I opened a new store once in a "lower" income area and decided to offer the lowest prices in our industry/area. My other store that was more expensive but offered discounts did better and what I found was that people, generally, don't price shop, they look for sales or ask for deals.

Oddly enough I’m kinda trending out and trying to get into oral surgery residency. I hated the majority of dental school and the work. Other than extracting teeth. I still need to practice some restraint with financials tho
One of my buddies paid off his dental school student loans working for fedgov doing dentistry for low income in under served area. He came out of that experience hell bent on pediatric dentistry. He explained, kids don't have meth mouth, smoke or smelly beards and always have some form of insurance. He did very well for himself... very well. I should have been a dentist.

But I digress, on topic
