PRS Talk 2025 PRS series finale date.

Who else would like to see PRS move up the PRS pro series finale? I would like to see them move it up just because of the time change. We have had the finale the same weekend as the time change for the last 3 years and in my opinion that’s kind of annoying. Just moving it up one week would make a huge difference.

Looks like they already nailed down the date for Nov 1st 2025. I personally haven't minded the time change, the extra hour of sleep is nice and since I'm coming from the West the time change just moves me closer back to my home time zone.

Per Ken's interview on shooters mindset they are looking at moving it to earlier... supposed to be on the table at the next MD meeting in December or January, if I heard that right.

I was thinking the other day-

why not move the whole season up, it doesn’t HAVE TO follow a calendar year, (it already doesn’t Really).

START in October/November, then have the finale Labor Day weekend so people can use the long weekend for travel. Temps are a little bit more predictable, probably not have snow storms n shit.

People that hunt don’t have to choose Do I go on my hunt or match.

Some parts of the country really only have a competition season between April and end of September. Winter thaw until hunting season. So having regular matches in that window and the finale following in November for the serious competitors makes sense to me. There is already so much competition overlap from the end of May through August. PRS, NRL Hunter, ELR, Rimfire series, Outlaw matches. Just saying it’s kind of nice to have the PRS finale at the end of the event season and fall/summer season.

Rimfire league I shoot in has the finale in June. Monthly matches from July-May. But due to location and venues that close through the winter, it’s more like July-November matches and then April-May, then finale. Harder to get your scores, and travel to venues, and deal with weather.

Definitely not what it use to be. The outlaw series with smaller clubs will prevail. Jersey shooters will be the death of it.

We will see, but nothing stays the same. I can now say "back in the old days...", lol.
