Spent some time w/ the Magnetospeed. Thought some may be interested in the data. Rifle is a Savage TRR-SR which is basically a MKII action.

CCI Blazer suppressed: (did not effect velocity on average)

Pretty much confirms that CCI Blazer is pretty darn consistent for bulk HV ammo. Looks like Federal is also but for some reason does not group as good in rifle as Blazer. The velocity on the match grade subsonics were all close. The ES on the Lapua and the CCI SV are close but the Lapua has been way more accurate in my rifle.

The Remington plain sucks but I knew that. It's good/cheap slide fire ammo. Will test some more down the road.

Did a few more the other day.

Barrel appears to be 22". It's a Savage TRR-SR w/ stock rail removed and 20 MOA base. I shimmed base to get another 10 and have it zeroed at 300 yards right now.

The Eley ES was in the range of the other accurate ammo. This is .22 ammo so I'm not expecting hand load precision. That being said, the rifle shot it's 2nd best ever at 100 yards with that Eley ammo. Actually I would call it a toss up between the Eley and Lapua for accuracy.

Another update on this:

Had the rifle zeroed at 300 but changed the rings recently. Last time we zeroed for 300, we used CCI Blazer and basically my son walked me into the target through the spotting scope.

Last time I was alone, so I got a 100 yard zero. then plugged the data into my app. I had read the the BC of CCI Blazer was around .12. So I used the conditions and the BC and I was way low. Said I needed 37 from a 100 yard zero and actually needed around 42. I was shooting through a suppressor and I chrono'd the Blazer and it was 1230.

So just an FYI, I don't think (or more accurately) you can use .12 BC for the round nose Blazer.
