22 CM, carbon ring and first timer with a borescope...what is this inmy barrel?

I ran a few wet patches with C4 the scored the barrel. These are after pics. What is that bkob on the left?

That is the Gas port I believe.

Is that just carbon gunk accumulating around the port? I've just never seen that before.

Often you will get some copper that catches on the trailing edge of the port where the barrel wears.

If you adjust your mirror in closer you will be able to see it more clearly in the mirror.

If you have never had a borescope you will see things you didn't know about.
When asking questions about bore scope pics, if you reference where in the barrel you are at it helps. Breech end about 2 inches in, muzzle end 5 inches in at the 12 o'clock position. It will help.
