220gr. reloads/308win

Greetings I hope somebody can tell me how much Varget I should start with. My son hunts whitetail and hogs in Arkansas .
All shots are withen 100 yards gun is a .308win./ 1:10 twist.
I found some 220grain noslar ssp's real cheap I have some varget & IMR 4350 i'd like to burn.

I don't know about the Varget or the IMR4350. I don't think you can really get enough powder in the case to really get any benefit from the 220s. Reloader17 seems to be the go to powder for the heavy bullets in the .308 case. A side note Win. brass seems to have a little better case volume and with a 220 every little bit will help.

I've loaded 200 grain bullets with IMR-4350 with VERY good accuracy. The average muzzle velocity runs 2400 to 2410fps. I haven't loaded anything as heavy as 220 in 308.
