223/5.56 brass Lapua vs starline

Im gathering components for a .223 rem bolt gun build. I understand only my rifle will be able to tell me what it likes, but as far as you precision shooters go can anyone give me some info?

How is Starline consistency, weight, how many reloads? Is Lapua worth the added expense?
I'm not going to be losing any reloads, I'll be picking it all up, but even so, just wondering if it's work near $40 difference per 100.

I ordered 2k from Starline , free shipping! Anyway got the 5.56x45 brass, never tried it before . Loaded 50 rds and my groups are a little larger than my Starline 223, and Norma 223 brass with same charge weights.
I'm not one thats overly concerned with brass consistency for my AR15, but did load them up for my bolt gun just to try out , think with a little load work up it will be fine.
For me for a 223 Starline is the way . Lapua not worth the extra cash, but 308 it's Lapua or Peterson for the bolt guns and Starline for the gas guns.
So far I have around 17 reloads on my Starline 223.

My thoughts on top-tier brass for precision versus other brands centers on one thing: eliminating error sources.

If my groups aren’t what I want, I don’t want to have to think “Is it my mediocre brass causing this?” When I use Lapua, Peterson, or Alpha, it’s one less thing to question in a sea of variables.

That’s really it, but good to know how many reloads people are getting from Starline.

Lapua is the best. I shoot it in my bolt gun 223, but starline is pretty good and is consistent. I haven't bought any in a while though as I have quite a bit. You can buy it bulk from diammondkbrass or elsewhere.

Didn't think of it this way. Of I could get the same reloads out of Lapua as starline 5.56 that would more than likely seal the deal, it's just a shame I have to pay double the price for it.
