SFP is what you want, your shots are still mostly going to be closer in. you want a scope that works well on its lowest power (your scope will be on this power most often) AND in poor light conditions. 3-12 huskemaw. don't laugh. I know the crowd here wants to. but its designed from the ground up as a hunting scope. cover up the name of the scope with athletic tape to make yourself feel better. I have static tested mine on a tall target and ran it for 2 seasons, I really like it. I also like the ziess v4, but the 3-12 doesn't come with turrets and the 4-16, I prefer 2.5-3x on the low end for FOV and running shots.
the other guys are telling you tatical/competition/range scopes. scopes are trade off's. you always give up something. a competiton scope makes a poor hunting scope and a hunting scope makes a poor competition scope. coyotes are my passion.
