Hornady just released factory loaded ammo for this and listed manufacturers who are now making rifles for this cartridge

And this is better than 6.5-CM ... um ... because ... why? I mean, I'd rather have full availability of reloading components for something I already have that works great for me, than a new caliber that's just a few millimeters different that requires a whole new set of "stuff" to create cartridges. But hey ... to each his own.

Hornady released brass for 25 Creedmoor last year, and sponsored it. SAAMI officially approved it Jan 19, 2025. SAAMI specs are on this link here. I hunt with my 25 SST, and the Berger 133s are devastating. This will be a sweet option for lots of people. I wonder how many factory rifles will...

Only thing I can think is less recoil.

It could be that at the desired performance level (135@2850) it delivers great accuracy and low ES while the 6.5cm doesn’t. Although at that performance level you are over pressure, not that people here care.
