You can load any of the long bullets mag length in 243 and 260.
If you are a reloader, then I'd go with the 260.
If you buy factory, then the 243 would probably make more sense.
243 AI is awesome, but so is the 243 with the right bullet.
The Berger 108 HPBT (non VLD) is the one to try mag length.
Go with at least a 1:8 twist.
The 140 Amax, 142 SMK, or 139 Lapua scenar in the 260 are also good bullets to work with.
1:8 twist with this one as well.
Wind drifts will slightly favor the 243.
Kinetic energy, and momentum, will favor the 260.
With a muzzle break, the recoil will be extremely tame.
