260 vs 6.5x47 out to 1000 yards?

Solid! I know what my 6.5x47 does and I can't get anything to work quite like it. Enjoy Bluto77! As for the 260 I've just not been interested in the slight differences between the two rounds. I say try one or the other the 6.5 bullets are great! I like to use the 140's or 130's.

I picked up all the extras from the seller, and he included a the Ultra 2 Die Forster set. I also have H4350 and primers, so I'm sitting pretty right now. Having the rifle sent to my gunsmith to get the barreled action cerakoted all one color, thread the barrel, and give it a once over. Should have it in a few weeks.

Should I be looking at something with a little lower weight in the 130'ish range since my twist is at 8.4 instead of 8?

Damn....I'm all kinds of jacked up to get this rifle!

Don't worry about a 8.4 twist and the longer, heavier 6.5mm bullets. 8.4 twist is plenty to stabilize them. I have a short 21" x47L with 9 twist and it shoots the 140gr LRHBPTs just fine.
