Anyone have a good match loads for the 284 win using 168 and 180 grain Bergers? Rifle will be a L/A so I can seat out long.

Any suggestions on using Winchester or lapua brass?

Thanks

Use necked up Lapua brass, neck turn with a relieff cut into shoulder, to prevent a doughnut.

Closest i come currently is Shehane.

53-56 gr of H4831sc should be a good place to start and work up to.
49-52 gr of Rl 17.
With 180s.

Other good powder is H4350, N160, N165 and N560.
Mrp works but is sensitive to temp.
N550 works well with lighter bullets.

I Fireform with 50 grs of N165, 180 berger seated well into lands.

Your powder charges will also drpend on oal and freebore.

I've had luck with superformance: good speed, consistent, and temperature stable. It's a little dirty, so probably not for use with a can. If you seat really long you can get above the donuts and case capacity will be more like rsaum, so you could check that data. WXR is also good, and might be cheap because it's discontinued and might be on sale. There's some info here too:
