I am going to be ordering the Two Vets tripod in the next couple weeks with their leveling head. The leveling head has a 3/8 16 male stud. My current binocular mount has a 1/4 20 female socket mount for a tripod. My spotter also only has a 1/4 20 female socket. Is there an adapter plate the will let me go from 3/8 16 male to a 1/4 20 male?

I keep something like this in a bag at home for situations like this
I like the idea of that. I may have to order them when the tripod gets here. How much height does it put between the base and binoculars scope? My only concern would be the weight of the sporting scope exerting side load on the converter.

You might want to look closely at your tripod.
Ours came with the 3/8×16 and upon closer inspection, I noticed it just had an outsert threaded on the 1/4×20.
Took it off and tossed it in the trash.
