so something hit me this morning......these 3 service member killed in jordan from a drone while sleeping in the barracks.

so we have extensive anti missile systems, and pretty damn good anti mortar tech. so someone explain to me how somebody was able to fly a drone over the base without it being shot down before it even got over the base.

it seems to me that someone on "our side" wanted this to happen. something is very fucky here.

I found it odd that all 3 were black and one of them was in his mid 40s.
What the fuck is wrong with you. There are people of all types serving in the military, I thought we have moved past being bigoted. People have protested for these rights for decades! There is absolutely nothing wrong with being 40 years old!

Idk my body seems to be telling me there is definitely something wrong with 40.

They were reservists. Not uncommon to see 40 year olds all over the ranks

Average American has no concept that the "Reserves" both Army Reserve and National Guard have become a temp agency for Active Army since 9/11. Before 9/11 - the "Reserves" were a Strategic Reserve with focus on call up for war (old style war fight to win not the current neverending version). Now, the "Reserves" are Operational Reserve and the National Guard should expect to be mobilized to Title 10 (Federal) every 3-5 years. Army Reserves can be called by individual Soldier so depending on their MOS (skill) they may be called up even more as individual fillers or pooled together as an ad-hoc unit.

This is a symptom of either too many missions for the US Army or too small an Active Army - probably both.

Too much fiddling diddling around in places no American needs to be.

US gives Iran BILLIONS , Iran uses said money to sponsor terrorist groups against us, the destruction of America continues, lives lost.

Air defenses fail , coverup on how this happened, absolutely no surprise, but President Potato Head vows to retaliate... make no mistake about that according to press secretary... ya right.

Propaganda... war on another front in 3, 2, 1.

the "having a drone come in and there was confusion" doesnt wash. i am supposed to believe we can only track one object? bullshit.
Those predator, GH, etc. drones squawk IFF modes and codes like any other aircraft. I have no idea what kind of point defense we have on a base for these threats, but I do know that CIWS systems are automated to blow anything out of the sky that's moving faster than "X", and that definitely includes the propellers on some Iranian/Chinesium drone.

I thought the reason we hadn't had any KIAs up to this point was precisely because our point defense of these bases was solid.

Even so you can't get it right every single time, but someone definitely dropped the ball on this one. If they attack us 160+ times one of them was bound to get through just cuz Murphy.

The drone was clearly racist.
The Iranians are racist, misogynistic, and homophobic as fuck, yet the left loves them. Truth be told they love anyone who hates us. Their hatred and stupidity permeate everything they think, believe, and teach our children at Academy.

Or or and hear me out on this....

It's another attempted GoT incident to drag us into another enrichment conflict disguised as incompetence.

Or maybe it really is incompetence. Hard to say these days.

Georgia national guard support Bn.

No surprise there. They died as soldiers doing their job. Americans to the end.

This is not going to play well with black voters, though. Three sons and daughters Put in harms way and dead. Due to a feckless Potato. Good American Soldiers from Georgia died. Biden’s placating of Iran killed them.

FYI, no one in uniform is any color but green.

Or maybe red white and blue.

RIP soldiers.

they are going to use it to justify their next crime. you have the potato out there running his sewer about retaliation. the real story here is that it was allowed to happen. these motherfuckers......

For you military types what is the purpose for this Tower 22 base and is the location important?
Lots of photos floating around in the past day of what this tower 22 base looks like, satilite images.

Theoretically it was to keep tabs on/fight ISIS. As usual I'm sure mission creep kept it going after ISIS was no more. The theory is that if we keep a presence in these areas without law or any government's control we can prevent one of these jihadi groups from gaining steam. The converse of that is that it's an American target they can hit. I assume that the thinking goes that if they can hit us where they live they won't have time and space to think about hitting us where we live. There is a simple logic to it.

It is in Jordan. Is that a place without law or any government control?

It's right on the borders of where three states converge. I don't have a survey handy, but I read it's actually on Syrian soil, so technically within a state with a government, but one that can't police but about half their territory. When a foreign country has a base in your territory I think there's a good chance you don't have control over it...

They just did the same thing the Chinese did....and we're allowed to fly their drone over the camp.....

My question is simple. Why do we have men all over the globe?

What real purpose or point is being resolved, by putting our men in danger. It’s time to bring them home, we have enough problems on our southern border, problems that a military presence could alleviate somewhat.

Yes, I know the military is not supposed to work with domestic issues, but when has that ever stopped the Federal government in the past (Eisenhower in the Little Rock integration of Central High) (Hoover and the Veteran’s Pay Protest of 1932) so, why not use the military to control our southern border? (Instead of fighting various and different invaders and internal civil wars in nations in Asia, Africa and who knows, soon to be eastern Europe.)

Because we supposedly have an agency with that responsibility.
Their manpower is being wasted by the federal government.
Why in hell would you even think the same federal government would use military troops for basic border control?

It would be completely different if we were in a DECLARED war zone.

We're not.

They don't want to control the border, they want everyone in, they are giving American wealth away to the world, and letting them know it's free for the taking, whether via southern invasion or via enviromental regulations, etc. Part of it is the Democrat strategy of buying votes and conveniently importing more brownshirts that will do their dirty work when its needed, part of it is the bigger socialist playbook of making things bad enough that more and more freedoms can be taken under the guise of fixing it, and making the terror that will be required to inflict socialism here a part of every day life. There's a group running this who are making the decisions Biden is credited with and I'm sure many who would oppose are compromised, whether via Epstein or countless other ways. That's how the globalists are maintaining control. I wrote this hastily but pretty sure many of the elements are in play. Trump is a threat because he saw that he could leverage the immense advantages the US has over literally every other sovereign to gain favorable outcomes for the US, incompatible both with globalism and with installing the commie way of life here, rather than attempting to give all the advantages away as they are doing now

My first guess was nobody bothered to change transponder signals since we gave all our hardware and weapons to the Taliban.

It is surprising that they managed to find a base in Jordan that’s so top secret it’s actually in Syria.

I believe everyone has mis-interpreted my thought. I don’t beleive the current crooks (biden crime family) or the sexual deviants or general milktoast himself or anyone in the current federal government would WANT to do anything that might benefit the United States of American.

That they would was not my thought.

My thought WAS they should! Not that they Would! We as a nation need to get our priorities in order. By crook or by hook, we need to get honest, right thinking, honest (yep said it twice) men and women in office who realize they are our employees, and they should be Serving US, not us being their serfs who exist to make them rich and allow them an opportunity to live out their sexual fantasies.

Main purpose of these bases is to limit Iranian logistics to Syria via main routes. US controls 2 of 3 major border crossings between Syria and Iraq and regularly bombs Iraqi militia fighters chasing ISIS.
Presence has nothing to do with fighting ISIS in practical terms US forces are there to protect ISIS unlike terror group MEK Obama admin managed to relocate to Albania. ISIS is just too hot of a potato to relocate to a friendly country and the other goal is to prevent Syrians access to their oil and wheat production,on the other side of Syria in Idlib Turks run the AQ and the rest of jihadis, they occasionally redeploy to fight as mercenaries in Azerbaijan, Libya etc.
Like it or not troops are in Syria because elites landed dick first on Epstein's pedo island.

Unless someone publishes sat picts of the damage in Jordan the attack happened in Syra , even the 'terror' group that claimed credit claimed it for an attack on a base in Syria.

Its like those SEALS dying of the coast of Somalia not in Yemen , the Pentagon claiming no troops in Yemens WH claiming there are troops in Yemen, bodybags from illegal bases are not as politically opportune as from a base in allied Jordan.

Smaller drones do not have IFF

Base would typically have a C-ram and a Coyote missile system.

How ironic if you think about this, Biden Administration provides border protection in the Middle East but when it comes to protecting America he allows Chyna to fly spy balloons knowingly across the country and then lets an invasion army walk into the country with welcoming arms. The entire time Congress sits back and has a circle jerk and SCOTUS cant get their shit together either.
prayers for those in harms way effected by this attack.

Holy fucking run-on sentence.

How about some punctuation and a few new sentences here and there? Maybe even a new paragraph every 10,000 characters?

FFS, that is like reading something a redneck Bubba wrote.

We know that the Russians have our missile silos and cities programmed into their MIRVs and they know that we do the same. All you need is to push a button in response and that's why nobody pushed the button so far.

If the goat fuckers knew that anytime they manage to hit one of our bases, then automatically and within the hour, two of their bases or other valuable assets would be turned to rubble, then they would keep a much lower profile.

Instead, our potatoe mumbles about "considering" consequences. Boo hoo. Do we honestly expect these actors to give a hoot about what may or may not happen?

How about making clear, in advance, what WILL happen as a consequence of aggression against US.

Why don't hoodrats rob people they expect to carry? Because they know the risk of going down without any further warning or delay. Those are terms every villain understands.

Everything else is too distant and therefore irrelevant for these psychopaths.

Pred/ Reaper/ Global Hawk are national-level strategic assets. Tactical UAS can't take the endurance and payload penalty of lugging a Mode-C transponder, so most of them have Mode A that just squawks. sUAS in this class have nothing.

The reason isn't what you want to hear, but Shahed-136, aka Geran-2 in Neo-Soviet service, is a world class weapon. Just like Bayraktar, a few years back- everyone wants to get their hands on it. It is becoming proliferated- and there's not much we can do about it.

It's exactly the weapon I've been wanting to develop- robust, expeditionary, and highly effective. The AK of "Kamikaze Drones" / one-way UAS/ loitering munitions.

CRAM works good on... rockets, artillery, and mortars (go figure) but not as good against threats of this type. If it has a nice parabola to calculate then it can get on target (like the way Q-36 works). The low level flight, climb, dive bomb profile (or other profile) is more difficult.

Also all Air Defense Systems manufacturers push fake numbers. It was the same for Patriot in Gulf I as it was for Iron Dome today. Nothhing in the real world approaches those figures they throw out.

160+ is since 07 October and our collaboration. It was like 60-80 attacks over several years across the whole theater before that. The only time we were safe/ no attacks? During the Ceasefire.

It's cheaper for them than hiring security to steal the resources of the locals.

The theory is that if we keep a presence in these areas without law or any government's control we can prevent one of these jihadi groups from gaining steam.

It's messier than that- Syria is Ba'athists, Islamists, and Kurds.

The Ba'athists are led by that eye Doctor with a beautiful wife and family, who wears pants and makes laws in a parliament. They are supported by Rooskie animals.

The Islamists are led by whoever is currently at the top of the kill list, and are ISIS-with-deodorant/ Moderate Rebels. They are supported by Isr*el and the CIA.

The Kurds are led by the SDF CoC, and we like them. They are supported by the US DoD.

You read that the same place I did- on fake news Rooskie Telegram. It's an Information Op. Tower 22 is 100% in Jordan, and these were support soldiers.

When a foreign country has a base in your territory, you attack it. That's why nobody is surprised and nobody is outraged.

Very tough to read, some misinfo/ wrong info.

I'll give you a fun fact though- The Mujahideen e Khalq had a paid lobbyist who got them off the DoS Terror Group listing... he was in tight with a crooked regime... he's named for a famous reindeer...

LOL

Firstly, even though the Hash'd al Shaabi is part of the Iraqi MoD, they don't really have "bases."

IF you did say that there was "automatic retaliation" of that variety for attacking our outposts, you would have Dancing Isr*elis show up 5 minutes later with camcorders outside the ECP of every FOB, COP, and PB in SWA, and we'd be getting hit and losing lives every hour, forever.

I'm surprised to see the race-angling getting traction in this thread- nobody who served or the families who instilled in them their values really, actually, thinks that way.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the orange areas are where the oil fields are.
