I would have called it 11:00 also.... would fishtail pretty good at times but always stayed left to right...
Can't help you with the .308 comparisons that day, but seems like with my .260 with the 142's I was holding about .2 mils left at 660y, .5 mils at 800y, and 1.0 to 1.2 mils at 1060y....

Guys,

Please remember you MUST have a rifle sling for this match. You will have stages when you have to sling the rifle for weapon transition. A good pistol holster is needed too. If you lose control of your weapon you will be removed from the firing line. Safety is our number one concern. None of this is worth doing if someone gets hurt.

If anyone has any questions please ask. It's better to know and have what you need, than to not ask and not have equipment you need

Chuck we have a fairly good supply of TAB gear we can bring just in case anyone needs to buy slings or other Tab product the day of the match.

Pretty excited about this match. This is a world class facility and the 3MR team has done a great job setting up a challenging yet accessible course of fire. All steel and lots of targets on each stage.

Just able to get in on the praise for 3MilsRight... guys, this place is awesome. If you showed up for the informal shoot, the main line is NOTHING! The "real" action is out on the property! Chuck, you, Mo and Dave have set up a killer spot. As a newbie to this type of competition; I was HIGHLY impressed and wish to thank you once again for including me on the dry run that AM. Also, thanks for getting me on target at 1060... that is seriously awesome and satisfying.

Guys, show up for this! You will have a blast! If you have snake boots, I would recommend them as well as brush pants. I need to find some high-cap 1911 mags apperently! You guys with your 22-round pellet guns can kiss my ;P

Doug, those targets of yours are sweet! Heavy, but sweet! I couldn't believe how quickly they reset with the wieght they carry.

I also now need a freakin' .260, dammit... thanks for that...

I may show up one of the days this weekend if you need an RO. Just holler.

We are glad you enjoyed It. Last weekends dry run was great for feedback. We tried to produce a fair but challenging course of fire. One of the biggest misconceptions in this long range game is that hitting targets at 1000 yards is hard. It's not hard with the right equipment and a little feedback from a decent spotter.

Dang, I'm gonna be at a severe disadvantage shooting for points somewhere I havn't even fired a round. I should've come out when the rest of ya'll did. I bet someone will tell me how bad I'm missing on the first few rounds. Hopefully I can rezero and at least make a showing.

Garvey you my friend are screwed! Everyone knows firemen can't shoot. You can stand by with the hose and make sure we don't start any fires though!!!

If I'm squaded with you, and there's stages that will permit, I'll top load for you. I found out how bad it sucks to be shooting well but running out of time because of top loading at Mesquite Creek. Chuck top loaded for me at a station that required 16 shots all from the prone position. Because he did that for me I didn't run out of time.

Well, today's match...simply kicked ass!! I had a blast!!! Too bad for me, I had to leave early.

Shooters - had a blast meeting some new faces. My only concern was the fireman running around wanting to give mouth-to-mouth! One trippy cookie right there!!

All in all, well worth the drive! Can't wait for the Nxt one!

Chuck - it was a great match and learning experience. I really appreciate all the hard work of the RO's and other folks that helped pull this together - you all did a great job. Can't tell you how much I enjoyed the match and meeting the other shooters - everyone really helped this rookie when I had questions about the match or tactical shooting in general - thanks.

Anyone out there that missed the match - They do a great job and it's a outstanding location to shoot. 3MR matches - you shouldn't miss the next one!

Doug - the targets were great. I really enjoyed the Blackhawk remote stage - you had to be paying attention on that one!!!

Um... sunburnt, dehydrated, sore and REALLY fricken happy I went yesterday.

Some thoughts I learned:
- All game plans go out the window when the buzzer sounds.
- It's hard to run and transition to a pistol when your sling comes off.
- When you dial magnification down with a 2nd FP scope, remember a mil ain't a mil anymore
- Jewells don't like red dirt
- There are great people in the tactical world
- When things go wrong on one station, there is always the next!
- A/C is the greatest invention of all time
- gas guns suck...

Chuck, Mo and Dave; thanks for giving us a place and opportunity to shoot this style. Doug, thanks for the ammo and your targets were bad ass as usual (Dave had something for you).
ROs thanks for enduring the heat for us! I know it was brutal.
To the great guys I shot with, I'm proud to say I know you all.
