300 Blackout questions for RSilvers

What is the correct gas port size for a 16 inch carbine gas barrel? I'm only going to be shooting 130 gr to 168 gr bullets in supersonic loads only as VT doesn't allow suppressors (yet).

Also, is WIN 748 too fast for the 300BLK and the above listed bullet weights? I ask as it is a powder used for both the 5.56 and 7.62 NATO and I have it on hand.

Depends on your buffer. I would start at 0.100 and work your way up.

For those weights, I would use H110 (for up to 150), 300MP, or A1680 (for 150 and over).

748 is too slow, and you would have to cram in about 120% of it to get to a good velocity.
