Newb alert, learning as I go.

    Sunny, 58 degrees F, winds 0-5, Berger 215 gr. hybrid target, CCI 200, 27" barrel 1-10, .0250" off lands.

Vihtouri N565, velocity data by Labradar.

    SD V
73.2 4.7 2768, primer misfire, 2775 *the primers are 7 years old, and were stored in climate control environment
    74.0 9.6 2824, 2829, 2811
    75.2 7.5 2857, 2869, 2870
    76.2 7.1 2902, 2895, 2909
    77.2 0.9 2936, 2937, 2938
    78.6 5.8 2999, 2991, 3002

Looking at the primers, 78.6 is pretty hot, and they were pushing back towards the bolt.

    I'm going back tomorrow with 74.4, 74.7, 75.0, and 75.3

Your ladder jumps in powder charge are too big and inconsistent. That being said, it looks like 77.2 is in the sweet spot. If you are going to run another ladder perhaps run 76.8, 77.0, 77.2, 77.4 and 77.6. I'd bet you find something real special in that range.

I agree the jump in charge weight is to big. I usually start with .5 gr increments

Just curious, as I will be loading 300 PRC soon, Is there any issues using CCI 200 vs 250?

Little slow reporting but posting another set of results. Thank you again for the all the input. After taking a close look at my brass and primers from the previous trip, I decided on the range of 74.4-75.6.

Hornady brass, Berger 215 gr. Hybrid target, CCI 200 primers, and N565. Labradar for V.

    74.4 2850, 2834

Went to the range Sunday. I loaded 10 rounds with Berger 215 hybrid target at 75.5 gr. N565. 2915 fps @ 77 degrees and 65% humidity. .020” off the lands. AXMC rifle. For some reason, I struggle with my Strelok Pro app, probably garbage-in/garbage-out situation. I decided to use the Berger online ballistic calculator. There aren’t too many variables to enter. 465 yds. 1.85 mils, 3/3 hits, 789 yds. 4.53 mils, 3/3 hits, 1662 yds. 16.43 mils, 4/4 hits. That’s a keeper. Now I just need to find more of those bullets. 😀
