Thanks for the heads up - ORDERED! And happy to be able to ditch my Hornady seater.
They won't take my calls anymore....heh I aked them the other day if I could swing by and pick up some brass at their shop....crickets man...crickets. I wasn't directly told...but they hinted that they will supply their resellers first...before I can buy direct from them on their website. Whatever...I have a pre-order in with a few of the resellers. Probably go with creedmoorsports first. But yea, it should drop any day now.
Most of my Hornady brass has about 8 reloads on them...it's time to retire them. Only a few loose primer pockets....no case head separation of horizontal scuffing that looks like a dog drug it across concrete.....most of my Hornady looks almost brand new. Generally, no growth...thus no need to trim in the last 3-4 reloads. I've backed my loads down to a good accuracy node. Should be better for barrel life. My SD's and ES's look pretty good now.
Just looking over my potential schedule for this year...and I see a lot of 1000+ and 1 mile at Thunder Valley Precision coming up. I need to have my ADG brass loads worked out by April 18th for that one.
I think I need a therapist. Is it wrong that my nipples are hard at a picture of a box?

Really curious if anyone can answer this. Two PRC’s running Bartlien 9 twist both sped up 40 to 50 FPS between 200 and 230 rounds. I’m use to barrels speeding up way sooner than that. I’d have figured a mag like this would have sped up before 150 rounds.
Got an email form ADG today saying the next run will be in July. 300 PRC

My question to you....are you sure they sped up? What I'm trying to ask is....did the barrel speed up....or with the changing seasons.....is it warmer outside now than when you first started shooting it? I've shot in conditions recently at 15F and 70F....and the speed difference is measurable.
I don't have any data on IMR 8133. I've read people who say they use Retumbo data....but then they compare it to the slower burning RL-33. If it is like RL-33...I say don't even bother.
I found reduced speeds and high pressure early with RL-33 on a 230 and 250 grain A-Tip. Retumbo was my go to load before I got some N565. N570 was about like RL-33 for me....slow and pressure signs early.
So...that said...if it were me...I'd start lower than Retumbo and work up.

I’ve started way lower than Retumbo because the case fill. About 75-76gn is when 8133 will start to compress. That alone is an indication that the data will not be the same.
You will need to call them and share your barrel length and velocity. I know that they can't handle my hunting caliber... call them up
The picture of the brass below is in response to some of the pics I've seen of other people's brass with questions about loads and brass quality. I've seen some ugly stuff. Below is 8x fired Hornady brass. On these particular 5 rounds, they were initially fired with 225gr ELD-Ms with a stout Factory load. Each reload has been with 78.5 grains of N565, a 225gr ELD-M, and a Federal 210M primer. After the first loading I had a pretty good trim down to 2.565. After that I barely touched a 1/2 thou off of any one of them maybe once or twice. They simply aren't growing in my Defiance Deviant/Bartlein combo chambered by Greg and Russ at SPR...aka.. Bugholes.
These are uncleaned, unsized. You will see a little powder residue around the necks...and you will see some tiny dimples where it slung out and hit the ground...and you will see some verticle scraping from my tight MDT 300WM CIP mags. You can see where the sizing die stops and doesn't go all the way down to the head. When these are cleaned up...they will be so shiny they look like a brass pole in a strip club.
While I've lost a few to primer pockets failing....that was MY fault. They were pushed with 80+ grains of powder to as much as 3100fps in a 28" barrel. So, while Hornady brass may be 'sub-standard'...it has held up rather well....and given me the opportunity to shoot at distance with an accuracy I never thought I was ever capable of.
Now, in a few days....my journey with ADG brass will begin...and we'll see if I can quantify the difference between the two.

Exactly what I've seen. First, I did the 300 PRC over the Nosler for 3 reasons.
1) Nosler brass sucks!
2)Nosler brass is expensive
3)Noslers brass sucks!
I cleaned the necks on the PRC Brass, prepped it, and fireformed 300 pieces.
I have 50 pieces I've just used for load development and to see how many firings I'm getting. So far, I've got 5 reloads on it and haven't lost any yet.
It really isn't that bad plus, at 80 some cents a piece, I'm ok with it. I'll wear the barrel out before I wear the once fired stuff out. Maybe the ADG or Peterson stuff in the future. I'll see how it does for others. Will the groups shrink? Time will tell. But for now, the Hornady stuff is doing well.
It reaches out to the distances I built it for with good Accuracy. No complaints.
I loaded 1 piece of Hornady brass 8 times in a row 215 hybrid, 79.3 H1000 cci 200 and primer pocket was still tight enough to bring joy. Not feeling the need for more expensive brass at this point. Hornady brass got alot of it's bad rap from guys consistantly running over pressure in 6.5 creedmoor.

just as I told my buddy who advised the same, when you have 40lbs of a powder and all the other optimal powders have been out of stock for the last 6 months..... you have to try the powders you have. Can’t shoot what you don’t have.
Was shooting at steel targets that were all shot up so I’m unsure what the groups looked like.
I like center punching steel plates....I'm not one for shooting 100yd paper all day. I shot a 308 group yesterday with a 3-9x scope...and was like 'this is some BS' when it was a huge .75" group. I had to dial back my expectations...given the scope used. But I could center punch steel way out.
Sometimes I like shooting the 300PRC for paper groups when friends are around...so I can argue with them that there are multiple shots through the same hole....and no...I didn't miss that 12" wide target or the 24" target backer behind it.
The shortest our 300 PRC has been shot is a mile. But we've only shot factory ammo. I'm about to work up a load and will have to go short. Gritting teeth.
I’m not a huge fan of shooting groups while doing velocity/pressure checks. I also don’t like shooting groups when doing velocity node checks. I don’t want to get wrapped up in trying to shoot tight groups and cook a round in the chamber and then wonder why it’s 40fps faster than the average.
